I made a Kōbe Municipal Bus livery, the mod is very cool and works perfectly, however I'd like to make some custom route advisors, does anyone know how to do that?
Yellow school buses do exist throughout the US but the only ones I’ve ever seen with doors on both sides are the NYC ones. Not sure of the exact reason behind it but my guess would be cause New York has a lot of traffic and old narrow one way streets, so in case the right side of the bus is blocked by parked cars, a wall, construction or something else, they can pick up or let off on the left side.
It'd be stupid to make a city bus converted into a schoolbus, a coach bus / long distance travel buses are more fitted for that, or the Toyota Coaster types
I work for a major carmaker as a component design engineer, and this carmaker hires bigger intercity coaches as personnel shuttle where midibuses are supposed to be used at. Also also, some shuttle bus owners/operators convert secondhand ex-private city buses into shuttles for personnel transportation too.
A ton of people has suggested an LHD Version and I'm sure the mod author has said no already as it will take a very long time to make one as well
Exactly. Unlike a Car, that would only require a dashboard mirror and some things moving, The bus would require basically all the JBEAM to be redone, on top of the model and textures mirrowing, so, probably won't happen
They exist irl, the Gillig Phantom (pictured) was originally developed as a transit bus and also had a school bus variant offered from the factory later. Both transit and school bus versions were high floor models, so if we ever get a DT40H it could be possible. (H is for high floor models, vs DT40L which is low floor, the Hirochi Aero is also low floor). School buses are generally not based off low floor buses due to US and Canadian regulations. The closest thing currently in game is the Daewon LN bus mod from urbanmaid , which is a high floor bus and has coach, transit and Korean school bus versions.
