I like this mod. One suggestion though: Make the configs more organised. Currently the configs are all over the place. Would be nice if you could change the "value" in the description part to be different and actually represent the cars actual value, like in the official configs.
LOL And they say people are not interested in electric cars... Better still, when I think nothing more can be done, you come along with some new update IDK if it's fixable, but the FWD models have real trouble going uphill (over 15-20% grades). If you got momentum, all is fine, but if you stop and try to get going you won't succeed (no amount of throttle will do, nor will disabling TSC). Maybe an heavier engine would do the trick? I said it already in the Electric Pessima thread, but if we could get key bindings to set the regenerative braking strength on the fly, awesomeness will go over 9000 too. Cheers
That's a really good idea. For the next update, I'll make each motor heavier (Stock = light) (ludicrous = heavy) P.S. I'm not sure what is "regenerative braking"
Found this page about it on wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regenerative_brake Seems like a thing featured in some tesla cars. But hey what about my post. 3 posts above this one? I would like it if the configs were more organised with the "values" of the cars being changed.
Thank you for upholding my proposition and for being responsive to other users too! Just to give you a bit more in-depth but brief explanation, regenerative braking is a feature of all modern electric and hybrid cars. Its essence is turning the electric engine into a dinamo when lifting the foot away from the accelerator. You can then push electricity back into the battery instead of using brakes in many scenarios. That's the main reason why hybrids get good mileage in town, but don't fare so much better than ICE (internal combustion engine) equipped cars on the highway. While for most EVs it's a parameter you set once and forget, some cars take a step forward and give you dynamic control of it allowing you to do this (go to 4:03): This adds to the long list of why pure EVs are so much more elegant than ICVs from an engineering standpoint: no noise, no vibrations, ideal torque and power curves, ease of control, no need for a complex drivetrain, more available room overall, better weight distribution, easy and straightforward automation, potentially environment-friendly, no flammable liquids on board (aye, batteries can ignite, but you need something quite serious to get them going), lower maintenance costs (no oil, no belts, no rad fluid, no clutch, less brake wear, etc), less losses/higher overall efficiency (less energy transitions are required, everything uses electrical vs. potential->thermal->kinetik->electrical energy). I'm picturing highways with railroad style pantograph wires 50 years from now (why carry a large battery, it will lower efficiency and cost lots of money).
What could be next??? When the Electric Sunburst reaches 10,000 Downloads , I will release a new electric vehicle as a milestone. Can you guess what it is?
it's actually part of the electric pigeon So that means you are looking at it now! I added the original front suspension back for the "stock" variant to make it cheaper
Well, back in the old days of beamng, (0.3 ish) The pigeon had a belt driven steering assembly. The electric pigeon has a straight up copy of the original thing. Maybe you should ask @gabester about it
