Beaufort/Holden VF Ute ( Sorry for making this thread early but I think making a thread can motivate me a little bit more) So after joining the Beamng forums I always wanted to get into modding so I decided to make a map but that broke and then another map but that broke as well so instead I chose to make a car. I settled on a ute as we already have a hatchback, sedan, SUV, sports car, super car, estate, a truck, a pickup and something else I probably missed and I wanted something a bit different. Here it is in it's current state Still a long way to go and this is my first mod as well. I'm also in school and have exams this week/next week so don't expect much progress during that time period. That's about it and yes I know other people might be working on a ute but I already started on this before I knew and I don't care anyway.
Well, that'll definitely take a long time to perfect & make the polyflow more or less like it should be, so don't get discouraged that it takes months to get anywhere near close good looking
Okay, so i've decided to make a controversial decision and not make it a holden but instead make it a repo and lore friendly car as the blueprints are way too blurry and I can't find any other good ones so i'm renaming the ute to something else but I don't know that the brand and model name should be.
how about branding it as a beaufort, in keeping with @Ytrewq 's kite, the badge engineered pessima. maybe name it after a military term, similar to "commodore" (fun fact, the 1st gen holden commodore was actually based off the 3rd gen opel commodore.)
Okay, I haven't heard from Ytrewq yet but I have some progress I guess. Smooth shading: Rear: Smooth shading: I need to fix the front because it looks disgusting but that's it for now.
fuck yes. this is my one of my dream cars and also my first car. i hope it works out and i hope exams go well.
One thing I would recommend is to spread out the quads a bit more evenly. You can see the problem mainly on the hood, where there is a group of them on the front of it, then nothing & then they start appearing again. That gap should be sorted out. For moving edge loops along other edges, I recommend pressing G twice & then moving it
