hi! so my last message got cut off, but i was saying that i have been trying to figure out how to get my cloud hovercar mod to get a speed boost. would i be ok if i used the lua and stuff? This would be greatly appreciated! i will credit you on the mod pages. thanks!
It's been released! https://www.beamng.com/resources/christmas-flatbed.30001/ It was supposed to be something I could quickly make in one weekend, but ended up taking a bit more time, since the 'flat'bed isn't actually... well, flat It is slightly curved, meaning that I wasn't able to just make one section and stack it along the entire flatbed. This ended up teaching me some new modelling techniques, for example using curves instead of meshes to make the wiring, and using instancing to clone all the lights into the proper locations. So it was not only fun to make, but also tought me new things Good luck to all the other contestants, I hope we still get a couple more late entries!
Yes, you can use it, if you properly credit me. You may have to modify the LUA controller a bit, because the speed boost automatically turns off after 5 seconds. If you have any further questions, feel free to DM me, because this doesn't really fit into this forum thread.
considering everyone else's submissions from the past weekend it's safe to say i'm not getting 3rd place like my stupid self originally thought
Well, if you look, how many submissions with non automation mods were posted, which were from what I saw only 4 to 5, including them on the race department article, but I wouldnt give up the hope to early. I dont really have any expectations, altough my mod has Christmas logistics as the theme, but the quality is not ultra high, because Im still a novice. But I guess the best thing, is just to wait, until the contest ends.

I hope it isn't too late but here's my mod! I hope you like it... "In an attempt from Santa to try and increase sales and distribution of christmas decorations, this massive old cannon found on a bargains store was the most viable option. After numerous tests this jingle machine never got out of fabric production for unknown reasons... Now here it is, for you to have some fun shooting random civilians only for them to realize how important Christmas is!" (This was honestly painful to make, but it ended up in a pretty nice result. I hope you enjoy it!)
