The maximum wastegate setting the stage 2 performance long block can handle is 9.5 psi. The psi will reach 10.
I think the idea here is to have just enough potential boost for you to blow the motor. Just don't turn the boost up to 10. 'Tis as simple as that.
I noticed that the front suspension deforms upon spawning for the offroad config. I managed to fix it by altering the beam deform values in the arms section to 105000 and the coilmount section to 40100. There is probably an underlying cause that I didn't find, but this does increase the stability somewhat. Also, would you be okay with me using the updated jbeams to update my wider axles mod of this buggy?
Not really sure what the issue is, but what Jackets said makes sense. I was never able to figure out why it did that, and it seemed to handle fine either way. Nice to see that you have figured it out, interesting that it handles better too. I'll take a look soon! And sure thing about updating your mod!
Awesome, thank you! And by stable, I mean structurally instead of handling. And it's a minute change at that Here is the new widened version vs the original offroad. I adjusted the limiters and added long travel coilovers, so now it handles johnson valley short course fairly well
does the minigun work?? anyways amazing mod!! i would also (if you arent too busy) like to see one with a working bazooka, would be funny to destroy traffic with a flippin bazooka attached to a buggy
It does not work and I'm not planning on adding other weapons either. I may consider making the minigun work, but I don't have a lot of time nowadays.
hey just wanted to say that this mod is really nice and cute lil buggy but could you add a skidplate under where the transmission and engine sits cause the oilpan get beaten up sometimes
Quick feedback thingy, as I'm somewhat biased, how 'drivable' are all the configs? Does the handling 'fit' their configs? Like, do the offroad configs actually feel and handle like they're offroad focussed? Do the more sporty and race configs handle better than normal configs? And how easy are they to drive around? Can you drive them easily at higher speeds on roads and racetracks? Keep in mind that pretty much most of the weight is on the rear wheels, which generally causes a lot of understeer while accelerating hard and lift-off-oversteer in when you let off the gas in a corner. This can be tuned to be better of course, but it'll always have that characteristic. For the next update I'm thinking of finetuning all of the configs to hopefully make them more realistically set up and easier to drive, if theres configs that need work.
Oh yep they're drivable but could have more toe in for the race config and a wider rear so people who use the config just don't lose grip and yes this is quite a skill issue on my part, the offroad configs are also really nice so no complaining there overall nothing to complain about . (could you also have an option to remove the windshield frame so we could just have an open cockpit?) ty <3
Request: Since this is an open interior vehicle, can you add this to the cpbuggydutchy_chassis.jbeam file? "sounds": { "cabinFilterCoef": 0.0 } This will remove the audio filtering from the interior view as it doesn't make sense in this car.
Sorry for the mega bump, but will there be more development posts here? or is it dead? PS: I also played that dead game he originally made this buggy in
*BUMP There is a lazy reupload --- Post updated --- (beamng wont let me edit) Homebuilt Compact Buggy v0.93 - BeamNG.drive (modland.net)
