Hi, i'm relatively new to modeling and Blender. This is my first real take at making a car. I don't even know if it's gonna make it into BeamNG, but give me some constructive criticism!

Well, the chance of that happening is about one in a thousand, since i'm really bad at making precise stuff like the engine, frame, suspension and some interior... I'm really hoping to get some tips. Oh and by the way, i whipped this up in a day.

EDIT: Made some progress, made the vents and a small part of the bonnet. Figuring out how to do the bonnet around the vents.

That looks huge, isnt the blender default meant to be a 1 metre grid? That thing is bigger than a house if so :p

Well, you can always scale it down afterwards. Anyway, i'm off. Need some sleep after fiddling with a model all day (2 AM here).

I like it:) I'm sure it will be great once it's more complete and smoothed.

Okay, so i smoothed out the body. I still have no idea how to do the hood around the vents. I have the feeling i chose a wrong car for my first big project.
    Anyway, needing tips at modelling.

I drove this Honda today in GT6, not a big fan of the sound it makes but it has a lot of power. Your creation is looking good.

Got the hood somewhat done, although it's very sketchy at the moment. Might have to redo most of the car.

    EDIT: Reworked the front.

I know this hasn't been long on this forum, but i really think i have chosen the wrong car for my first real model. I'm giving up on it as i failed horribly, i accidentally solidified the whole thing and now its double as hard to model. I'm going to dump this project, if someone wants to take it over, PM me. I certainly won't give up on modeling though, i will just select something more... less complex for my first actual project.

I recommend you start with a boxy car. There are many of them out there, and they are good for beginners.

I might do the A6, but i had something like a EK9 in mind. Anyway if i am going to do the A6, this is what i'm going to do.

    1. Model the car
    2. Two separate choices:
    1) If the slidenodes arent quite finished yet, I'm going to do the suspension as something that is available, and change it once slidenodes come out.
    2) If they are, MacPherson struts it is!
    3. Try to JBeam, and if i don't succeed, ask for help.

Sounds like a good plan. I would like to think that by the time you complete the model, slidenodes will already have been released, thus the struts would not be an issue. Alternatively if you choose a Honda, or the EK9 at least, if I recall they mostly have double wishbones all round (at least they did in the 80's). The EK9 is a bit newer, so I'm not sure if it uses that type of suspension.

Some of the sounds are decent but that tire squeal is just shocking for a game that calls itself the realistic driving simulator. Anyway back to the main topic, bonnet/hood is looking great and the rest of the car will look great.
