Hello everyone, and yes I have the D15 Technical mod, how do you move the machine gun to a car or truck or SUV van or semi? So basically i got rid of the entire body except the machine gun on the D15 Technical and i try moving the machine gun with world editor and I can't really get it to move. How do you make it move using world editor? And also How do you attach it to a different vehicle? Let me know. Thanks!
Wow, two threads and nobody has given a meaningful answer. My turn. I don't 100% know how the D15 Technical's turret works, but if it's fairly complicated, if it isn't designed to tear off of the truck easily, and you want it to retain the ability to aim, you're pretty much going to need to edit the jbeam of whichever vehicle you have in mind. The good news is that it would probably be a pretty easy edit, and would be a solid, certain attachment with no surprises. The bad news is that it would still take a couple of hours at least to develop, and couldn't be easily moved once in place. If you're okay with not being able to aim the turret, you could just tear the turret off of the truck with the nodegrabber. Then, while still using the nodegrabber, either set the gun down on the host vehicle, or forcibly attach it to the host vehicle with the node coupler. It'll look more ad-hoc, would require a few minutes' worth of setup each time you reset, might damage the host vehicle, and the gun might turn invisible if you move too far from the truck.
I tried to use nodegrabber and it sort of ruins the tires. People have told me to delete the entire body except for frame for the D15 technical and then use world editor to move the frame with the machine gun to the vehicle you want. Tried it and the frame won't move. D: Probably cause i don't know how to use world editor! I should look up on how to use world editor in Beamng drive!
