It didn't take more than 5 minutes! This is my step up from Rigs Of Rods and after seeing the videos from the BeamNG website I said to myself this is gonna be awesome, so now I'm the proud owner of BeamNG DRIVE Alpha. Great engine, very realistic. Since this is in the alpha stage imagine what it will be once it is fully completed. Keep the good work BeamNG Team!
I downloaded the Techdemo when they first linked it in the stream chat, and then I bought the Alpha when the page started to function. The Techdemo was finished and I started my download of the Alpha and so I played for about 10 minutes since I wanted to know what the Techdemo had to offer for others (out of curiosity)
i played it for about 4-5 hours because it was late at night and im not an admin on my cpu so today we downloaded the drive thing and im having fun with the covet
That is a very risky decision. The point of the techdemo was to make sure your PC could run the game without dying.
Someone made a topic about DRIVE on LCPDFR.com (GTA IV modding site focused on police mods), I watched the video included in the post, and bought the Alpha immediately. Haven't played it yet as it is installing as I type this - can't wait though!
I hesitated a bit since I'm on an awfully slow connection and sharing my CPU with my brother (not a typo, we're both using virtual machines with VGAPassthrough). Seeing how the tech demo download was less than 100MB and it ran relatively well on 3 cores from my i7-2600 I went for it, gave them a little bonus money too.
At once I purchased the Alpha, the game run to 16-19 FPS. Processor: AMD Phenom X4 850 3.3 Ghz Motherboard: Biostar MCP6P M2+ Memory: 4GB Kingston DRR2 Video card: GeForce 9800G 1GB DRR3
I went straight to buy the alpha with the option of showing they love , deserved for sure, amazing work
Played the tech demo for 30 minutes, decided I'd buy after 2. I'm very(!) excited for the results of this project. Can't wait.
Bought it instantly. Been following the game foe a very long time and knew it be great. Thank BeamNG devs.
I bought it without checking the techdemo - the DRIVE trailer sold the Alpha for me. Although 0.3.0 crashes a lot at me, and I still need to tweak the game settings to get a good performance (it kills my i5-750 and VGA on High settings), I'm pretty sure this will be one of my favorite vehicular sandbox titles. Keep up the good work devs!
