It is a database error which leads me to believe that they are trying to get the leaderboard database up and running for the upcoming update...

My guess is that the leaderboard is separate, but them trying to link it to our accounts caused issues. Aw yeah, SPECULATION!!!
    Down 3 times for me.

Maybe it has something to do with the permission groups disappearing, which kind of sucks.

    I never really liked MSE.

Your boot time is coming from the SSD, all of my systems and my sisters have HDDs, which, unless you spend a little extra $ on a super fast HDD, cannot compete with most SSDs.

You have good reason to not like MSE as Microsoft themselves doesn't like it lol

Microsoft only said that, because if an anti-virus gets to popular, it will become quite popular to target viruses at (as in getting past security) I currently use MSE (well, windows defender for me because windows 8 for the win) and have never got a virus, and if I did, it instantly got rid of it, it works even better in combo with malwarebytes anti-malware

So the logical thing to do would be to discredit your own product? IDk about that one man. However I am glad that it works for you, and when used in tandem with malware bytes it should prove to be sufficient. Then again I bet if you let a twelve year old at your computer they could find a way. :p

Norton is worse. I think I have said it before, but it uses virus techniques to burrow in and isn't the best at detecting. AVG internet security does just as well if not better for less.
It is always a good idea to run one every month or two.
While it is ok, never trust it fully. It scored the lowest possible score in many virus tests and lost a few certifications. I see you are using it with MWB though so wou should be fine.

Anyone who spends money on norton might aswell just cut to the chase and smash their computer with a sledge hammer.

LOL, your joking right? windows defender in windows 8 and 8.1 has MSE built in, and works flawlessly, norton? thats litterally, the WORSE, anti-virus EVER MADE, it doesnt even scan for malware, like, at all, example: i had norton once, i scanned with it, it said i had 0 viruses or malware, i then scanned with windows defender, it found 5 or 6 viruses or malware, then, to make sure it wasnt just false posotives, i scanned with malwarebytes, SAME THING (i also looked at the paths it found to make sure it wasnt something of mine, it wasnt) so yeah, no, MSE(Windows Defender in windows 8), Malwarebytes anti-malware, AVG, Avast, and ESET are the few good anti-viruses (and if someone insists on paying, eset is where to go, but if you prefer free, then the other 4 work perfectly)

Before I bought is it seem to be one of the best. In top place in almost every rating I saw and trading shots with some others like Kaspersky and etc.
I'm very careful in the internet so I probably wouldn't get a virus anyway but it's always good to have an antivirus in my opinion :)

Norton is also a resource HOG. I hate when I get on a friends cheap low powered laptop and they have it on making the laptop chug along all the while missing all the malware they have.

    I use:
    Ad-aware
    Malwarebytes
    AVG

However as other have mentioned nothing beats surfing the web wisely. In all honestly if you set up chrome/firefox/opera right to block java, adblock, and other security risks not only will web browsing be more pleasant but also more safe.

Back on topic, so how much would an SSD improve performance when I load up multiple cars if my CPU is the bottleneck? I have been eying some SSDs to install my OS and a few HD intensive games.
