The D15 Truck, for example, has an engine that blows up if you spawn a 'supercharged' version of the 5.5l V8.

How would I go about changing the default motor that spawns with certain trucks or vehicles? For example, Id like to change the default motor, on the D15, to something that doesnt immediately blow up on acceleration.

Is it possible to easily change the default motor that cars spawn with?

    Thank you for your time,

Just change the engine block to something like heavy duty & it won't blow up as quickly

Right, but Id have to manually make this change each time I spawn the vehicle, right?

    no
when doing this, look at the top of the parts menu
it should say something like 'Save'
once there, name your config whatever you want and hit save.
to see it in the selection menu, there is a setting for it in the 'Gameplay settings' menu
    i hope that helps

Thank you. I can now see my custom vehicles in the vehicle selector. Is there any easy way to update the vehicle thumbnail, so it isn't a blank "?" icon? thank you!

yes- but it would require using the thumbnail generator to take photos of EVERY config of that car
its a pain, so i wouldnt bother

Thanks. Does it matter if I only have a couple of custom config vehicles? Or are you saying despite how many (or how little) custom vehicles you have you have to do alot of work?

you have to do alot of work
its not worth making the info.json or a thumbnail if you already know what it does and how it looks :p
