Look underneath and try and look past the radiator if it's not connected to the front fascia to see if there is something sticking the mechanism for the hood.
Why thank you! It kinda sucks tho,I think I might sell her after I get her back.... She crumpled an awful lot for a low speed collision. Imagine I was on the freeway going 50-70. I'd be dead.
it was bad, radiator subframe ac pump/lines powersteering lines airbags body and the crash section in front but, it did drive good after as u can see the front got pushed in a lot
It's worth pointing out that crumpling =/= certain death, quite the opposite actually. Suddenly coming to a stop is what kills you in an accident (that and hitting your head on things, which is why we have airbags), the crumple zone is there to make the transition from moving to stopped more gradual, thus reducing the risk of messing up your insides
Sorry to hear about that. I don't believe your car is totaled. Check the frame and lower body pillars. If those are not damaged, you're car has a higher rate of being "Not totaled."
They totaled it. I watched them crush it today. I bought myself a 2014 Hyundai Accent in blue to replace her. Its not the same though....
Sorry to hear that happened. You did get off fortunate though and hopefully will take this as a learning experience. Hope the repairs on (or replacement of) the vehicle go well and don't cost too much.
I can tell you this. Sometimes, depending on how badly damaged the car is, it probably will not drive the same. (I may not be as reliable even if it's fixed)
You're full of shit, they don't crush cars just because they get totaled. They strip them for parts or put them up for auction. No insurance company is going to be stupid enough to just crush a car full of usable parts.
