I literally bought the game as a result of the videos of hitting 100 speedbumps in a bunch of different cars. I found the mod with the speedbump "vehicle", but I can't figure out how to get that many in there. I stop being able to add any more after 20. I can't imagine that it would be that impossible to do, would it? Do I actually have to figure out how to use the editing software just to add some dang speedbumps???
By editing software do you mean the World Editor? If so, assuming the map you're on has the speedbump object, just follow this: F11 opens world editor. Shift+drag duplicates object. Then you just hit F11 again and you can use them as you like.
there is also this map that has 100+ speedbimps in a row https://www.beamng.com/resources/feel-the-bumps.2707/ different shapes & sizes
Thanks!! No, I didn't know about the editor. There was nothing about that in the help section, so I had no idea it was there! The editor I was talking about was the rigs of rods editor. Was more technical than my level of understanding. --- Post updated --- Yeah, I've got that one, thanks! Sadly you can't hit those at 150+mph.
So I played with the editor, but am not smart enough to get it to work. This is the first PC game I've played around with in quite a long time, so forgive me for not being up to date on this kind of thing. Here are my issues: 1) When I open the editor I can't move around the world; the camera is attached to whatever car spawned, and I can't figure out how to detach from the car. 2) I can't figure out how to control where an object lands. When I do spawn the speedbump vehicle (from the mod), it either drops through the ground or spawns all the way across the map. If I try to move it, the thing folds up and I can never get it correctly oriented again. Some help with these two would be awesome, thanks!
1. Shift+C detaches the camera 2. I don't exactly know what "speedbump vehicle" you're referring too, but regardless, if it is a vehicle you shouldn't be spawning it in the editor. You just play the game normally, open the vehicles menu, and click "spawn new." If this isn't what you're talking about please show me a video (any quality it doesn't matter) of what's happening and I can give you a much more precise answer.
