Anyway i wanted more software to but on my Windows XP VM i use the latest ver of beamng on the host host:Windows 8.1 core 64-bit Guest (VM): Windows XP Pro 32-bit guest specs: -8GB RAM GPU-VMware SVGA II set to 1GB VRAM -CPU 2 cores from my core i7 8GB ram is possible by patches Host Specs: CPU-intel Core i7 2.60GHZ GPU-Nvidia GTX 970M -16GB RAM ok back to what i was saying i wanted to play games in XP i got WALL-E the videogame to run in it so beamng 4.0.6 should run it does... kinda it starts but crashes when loading every map i know it is unsupported but please help so can anyone help me get DX9 version of beamng running without crashes Please
i do play it on the host i just want to see windows XP play beamng --- Post updated --- oh Wall-e wasn't laggy at all it was just as fast as the host
0.4.6.0 is the last version that supported windows XP so It'll run exactly the same as it does on windows 7 or 10 etc.
Windows XP was last supported until 0.4.0.6 (which you can find on Steam under BETA tabs). Still, you may have problems if you don't have the Service Packs installed. Anyhow, that's so old that unfortunately there's not much to help with.
You can play beamng without steam, just download it on your main PC and copy it to a shared VM folder.
the log files are in the .zip file. as I said it crashes on loading any map i have VMWare Workstation Player (non commercial use) the vm has 4GB ram(because 32-bit) and it shares 128MB of that for graphics and i assigned it 1 core ov my i7 i deleted the ram patch. hence the 4GB RAM
