The door protrudes outwards below the window, so I think it should be fine. The rear side windows won't roll down anyways.

Oh right, forgot that these threads aren't about cars. Maybe you better look at what your moderator has posted before you get on me.

And about the windows... Does he mean the rear side windows? they aren't supposed to roll down lol.

As long as we're talking about muscle cars... Yes I'm going off topic. I think you'll find the late 60's and early 70's v8s put out quite a lot of horsepower... As well as something that the 4 cylinders don't have much of... Torque, and tons of it. I'd like to see some of the 4 cylinders with spun bearings after trying to lug around 3.5-4.5k lbs and 3.23 or higher gears. And, about the muscle cars not handling well... The formula-S Barracuda was actually used in rally races by it's creator. You'll find this guy happens to love his 'Cuda and apparently it handles as nicely as his friend's Porsche. I know that all muscle cars are not like this, but this one is. And well, if you think that the muscle cars aren't the most beautiful cars ever made, well, I respectfully, fully disagree.

That being said, I appreciate rice burning tuner cars as well. But nothing raises my hair like that v8 growl.

That being said I wish Honda would bring the torquey diesel motors to the states for the civics.

Talk about serious cash for repairs though... No thanks. I'll take the 4 banger gas engine. But the mileage would be awesome... 75 or so I'm sure...

Oh wow, the 2.2 liter puts out 251 ft/lbs of torque. I'm sure that doesn't get more than 60 mpg (depending on the vehicle) But that's pretty good. Then again, even the big block motors in the 70's had all the emissions restrictions and still put out 300+ ft lbs of torque at maybe 1,000 more rpms.

Edit: Oh, wow, I was way off on the mileage... It says it only gets 28 with the diesel in the CR-V?... That's not even worth the trade off haha... I mean, the Big Horn Ram that my uncle uses on the farm gets ~24 on the highway... That's gotta weigh over double what the CR-V does... And while towing a triple axle gooseneck with a 4,500 lb shocker on it we still got 18 mpg..

The UK MPG isn't the same as the US MPG. That's 33.6 MPG in American gallons. Even then... Not astonishing.

The new civic in Europe has a 1.6l turbo diesel that makes 220tq and gets 62mpg in real life tests.

1 US gallon = 3.79l. I paid £1.31 per litre a few days ago. 1.31*3.79=£4.96=$8.18. Over double. And diesel costs more than petrol over here too for some reason. Apparently american fuel is a lower octane value than UK fuel but that doesnt account for such a huge price difference...

I think mopower is using US gallons in the first place

What do you mean? I'm really considering just ignoring you... Most of the time you really contribute nothing but false facts. Please explain exactly what you're saying here.

aye, That's quite a bit better than what I thought, but even then I'd expect the gas version to get that, especially with a 2.2...

Wow. and that's uk gallons? What would that be in US gallons? ~75? yeah?

Getting good mpgs is hard in the USA. I drive an 07 civic sedan auto with the 1.8 gas getter. At best I'd get 38-40mpg. 40 is kinda rare. I usually get 26-32 because I'm a lead foot with a cold air intake and I like the growl :)

Yes, I do. 40mpg is not rare with the old civic hatchbacks... As far as american cars go, no not many get 40mpg... What does your comment have to do with my original post?

I didn't forget it... I just have no idea what that has to do with my original post. I was talking about torque, and you tell me that I forgot the mileage of vehicles?

Forget it. I'm just ignoring you. Have a nice day :)

Hell, my Crapolla will push 40mpg right now. Of course, that is until I swap the engine in it...

I wasn't saying that Japanese motors put out more horsepower than a V8 because they definitely don't. They put out a ton of horsepower for only having 4 or 6 cylinders is what I meant. Also, I personally don't see the point in having a 2.5 ton race car. I respect the muscle community and I totally understand why some people choose to do it. However, when it comes to pure performance and track times, Japanese and Euro cars are where it's at.

That being said, I appreciate energy-wasting, lazily engineered muscle cars as well. But nothing raises my hair like that blow off valve sound.
