    Not at all.

Turbocharger is short for turbine-supercharger. A supercharger consists of an air compressor used to boost the intake airflow and pressure for more power. Turbine refers to the fact you use a turbine to drive this compressor (compared to a regular supercharger driven from the crankshaft).

You take a gas turbine (much like the ones in power stations, cknsidering these are standard school syllabus you should know something about them). Run the exhaust gas through it and it spins. That spinning drives an air compressor which sucks air from the atmosphere and forces it into the engine. More air in the engine means you can add more fuel and get a bigger explosion (and the reaction in an engine is genuinely more efficient at higher pressures).

Car engines and truck engines have no difference between each other. Most cars are petrol, most trucks are diesel, trucks usually have a huge displacement while cars have small. But there are petrol trucks, diesel cars and huge displacement cars.

Turbos produce almost no extra power at low rpm. At high rpm they can produce a lot.

Non turbo diesel engines have a lot of low end grunt, torque monsters off the line, that power quickly drops off at high rpm though (makes em horrid to drive on motorways). Add a turbo, turbo boosts the high end power, gives you that monster diesel power band ranging from 0rpm to redline.
Not only that but something unique to the diesel engine is how it responds to heavy load. A diesel engine under load due to how compression ignition works actually produces more heat than if it had no load. More heat means the exhaust gases expand more rapidly, this then forces the turbo to spool faster. A diesel engine under load will cause its turbo to spool then giving it more power on tap. A petrol doesn't do this.
Its the crap running of a naturally aspirated diesel that leaves you with almost all diesel cars and trucks being turbo diesel. The turbo itself though, its actually the same design as a petrol car one. On a truck its probably just bigger to deal with the bigger engine size.

Why not make a bigger, 4-door version called the EBX? Sport sedans are fun!

I think it slipped into one of the patches (as gabester has posted it in screenshots already) and then tdev updated the steam branch again to exclude it. Seems maybe a few people managed to rip it first.

I know that's a joke, but you already sent it to people so that deal won't work whichever way you turn it...

Yup, pretty easily. In fact I've been having a hard time limiting mechanical oversteer.

A horrendously underpowered, automatic, 1.5L Covet powered 150BX would be a fun vehicle to wreck...

Oh god... 90 horsepower and 2800 lbs. That'd be miserably slow.

I don't think that any self-respecting Japanese automobile manufacture would be daft enough to put such an underpowered engine in a sports car.

    GM on the other hand...
