I´ts been a while, but I´ve made some progress. The Off-Road suspension is ready, front and rear is IFS. The front is from the Ibishu Covup mod by @DutchyGamer The rear is made by me, I´ve used the D-Series front suspension as a base.
I did some testing and tuning with the offroad suspension. It does pretty good, even in johnson valley at high speeds.
I´m done with suspension testing. Now I´ll finish the last offroad parts and then do the widebody for the front and the racing/ sport parts --- Post updated --- If you have suggestions for more parts, let me know
Are there going to be a high abundance of "aftermarket" options for this car? (including the facelift, if it has one somewhat)
if you plan on making an factory light-offroad trim, i would suggest taking some inspiration from the amc eagle, maybe you could also base it off of the leone 4x4.
It does have a facelift, (with the normal covet headlights). I want to add some aftermarket parts. A few spoilers, different bumpers and fender flares. But I don’t have references for the parts yet. --- Post updated --- Yes --- Post updated --- It’s not exactly going to be a factory config, it was just a concept to demonstrate the 4wd of the car. But I'll add bumper lights to it and will look at your images when making the config.
Hmm, have a look at Uras/Buddyclub kits, or maybe even Mugen & Schneider Motorsports for that matter. There's also BeamNG modders, like the one/ones from KLJP and the Type-Series of bodykits you could look at (ask for permission first, as always)
after 2 days of work the mudflaps are ready. The mudflap support does have a texture that I´ve painted myself using blender and some texture assets from ambientcg. This is how it looks like:
More progress will come soon as I have more time now again. I had to learn for the theory test for the drivers license and today I passed the test.
Sorry for not sharing progress recently, I had some issues with time and motivation and also did bug fixing. Before adding new parts I’ll finish the current things, like the turbochargers, a smaller engine mesh for the 1.5l and 1.8l i4 engine.
