Also bugged is the rear tyre readout in speed it shows it as 0mph when your going at speed that has to be fixed as well
for god sake I meant the front tyres xD and I have 20 20 vision I just was going through your mod so fast I made a mistake haha...
My favorite rally car? That's way too hard to pick. From the group B era, I'd have to go with the Audi Quattro. Group A era, aka early 90's, I would have to pick Evo 1. Thank you for the kind words. The skin looks sick on it.
I noticed trying to rally it that the fog lights mounted to the bumper is a bad idea, because you WILL damage the front bumper and then you're only going to succeed in illuminating about 10 centimeters in front of you. Might be worth splitting the bumper into 2 parts in the node/Beam so we can tear off the bottom without destroying our fog lights.
I will admit, I rushed the fogs a little bit. I just wanted to get the mod done, before I lost interest and then never finished. Sorry, I'm finicky I guess...
whatever the case, the only niggle with the mod is that the front bumper can be pulled downward on the rally version, its not a major problem and just a niggle. The mid engined RWD covet is glorious, you did a better job of this mod than I've seen from other people modding the covet.
I do love this car. Stick a turbo in it and it really feels like the car *wants* to kill you, it is possible to tame the lion into a little pussy cat, but it is really waiting to rip your head off
This thing is awesome, takes a lot of control to handle it with the turbo and it pushing 235hp. Gotta modulate your throttle alot. Got it to run down my drag strip tho doing about 98mph. Was hard to maintain and when u steer it slightly at high speeds it likes to break loose easily. Fun car dangerous to drive lol. Though I'm probably just a horrible driver. Being used to my easy to drive GTi.. Driving something that takes some skill is hard in BeamNG it drives a lot like the bolide.
This is brilliant. My favorite official car made better. dkutch, I wish more of the community content creators would focus on making their drive train adjustments realistic like you and mythbuster do. You can really tell the difference ingame and it makes the destruction so much better. All of these "AWD COVET 500HP" and "AWD/FWD/RWD BOLIDE" mods are pretty annoying, to say the least. I've pretty much only been able to get content from you and myth, and every once in awhile DrowsySam if I want to keep the quality consistent with the official content. It's kind of sad.
I appreciate it. That's one of the big reasons I stick around and play with nodes and beams. I work on cars full time to pay my bills, went to school for auto mechanics, and this sort of simulation allows me to actually use my real world knowledge of vehicles to make them perform like one would expect. No other "game"/"simulation" can give you that sort of freedom.
Finally got around to driving this thing; it's a blast You just need to fix a couple of edge split/smoothing group problems
This car is amazing. Plus it isn't as strong as the regular Covet, I got this and a regular Covet hit by a 130 Spintop thing by DrowsySam and here are the results. Covet MRi Turbo. Covet Standard.
