I know I cant release it with other games sound, I have recorded a few samples from automation, and I can't get the sbeam right. THAT is the problem. It is not as easy as copying 'some sounds' to beam. you will have to loop them and make a good Sbeam, which is very hard with a lot of samples..
I think somebody else used automation sounds and it worked pretty well, I forget the user and I can't find the post, but they might be able to help you out.
the problem is the SBEAM learn to read. "you will have to loop them and make a good Sbeam, which is very hard with a lot of samples.." the amount of samples is making it more difficult, not the source :|
@D-Troxx fixed the driveshaft for me and looked at the suspension I have edited the front bumper a bit and some small things are done to the body. I am planning to work on it tomorrow too
Suspension issue is fixed too, it was the front subframe :/ It drives quite okay now so I am working on some bodyparts. I am also quite happy that this thread hasen't turned into cancer, thanks guys!
My idea on this still is to just use less samples, no more than 3, it would allow nice overlap and cutting sample playback issue would be at least less if not eliminated. I think that it would sound still just fine (awesome really) compared to 99% out there, even it would not have those two highest pitch sounds? Of course another issue is if using sounds from Automation will cause issue with repo etc. Making clean looping samples from recorded real car sounds is then something insanely hard actually, move microphone just few inches while recording and that alone is to ruin the sample etc. Sometimes there is luck with copying sample and pasting after itself, then reversing pasted one, another trick was to crossfade end and beginnings, but I have forgotten how to do it so that it works.
another problem is that the owner of a 6R4 doesnt reply after he said he had been busy everytime I asked him :/
Suspension and other 'drive' are ready, made some mudflaps today and made some screens So progress is not slowed by the fact that I built a new pc
I hate you but love you Blijo, I hate you because every time you post progress I know when it gets released my PC most likely will still be in the graveyard until I find a way to fix my hard drives, but I love you in the sense that you are showing amazing progress that really shows what one can do when motivated, who cares if it isn't a "unique" car or if it's only a "new version" of the Covet. It looks amazing and I can't wait to get it when it's released, literally this is my secondary reason for wanting to fix my PC so quickly, other than that I need it for school and other business such as customer wraps I'm working on soon. (Yes I will be working for a vinyl wrap business soon, gonna run it w/ my dad. Maybe you can be a customer *wink* *wink* * totally not advertising*)
you could make one for yourself, lower the suspension, make it stiffer etc. I must confess the car is that fast I need both in the same run, I always go too fast... --- Post updated --- A little overview of the Covet's versions worth showing. There are only 2 non-mod versions
