I also think the steering lock is a bit too small. I found myself in sick drifts that ended with spinning up, something I could prevented with more opposite lock.

 

Does anyone have the issue where the camera is at an angle?

 

I don't have this problem, it has to be on your side. Try disabling all other mods and see if it's still at angle.

EDIT: I do have this problem, but once the car is moving the camera is straightening itself to normal, so it's not a big deal for me.

 

Any chance of future versions using less generic part names (e.g. hatch_engine_v6r4 rather than hatch_engine_v6)? It currently conflicts with a previous but very different V6 Covet mod. I'll be editing one mod or the other anyway to fix it short-term, but if it's possible to avoid the issue entirely I'd appreciate it.

The old mod in question shouldn't have used such generic part names anyway, but since it's a few years old I doubt it'll be getting changed either way sadly.

I also have the same offset view with the chase camera but not the orbit camera - I haven't gone through to figure out what's causing it yet but if I remember I'll update this post with the conflicting mod, if any.

 

Thanks for the heads up, my bad for the engine name, and I will be looking into the tires and camera for the next update.

 

@pez2k_ is on the right track, but I strongly recommend prepending your forum username to the partname. hatch_engine_v6r4 is only slightly less generic than hatch_engine_v6. Trying to figure out all previous generic part names from other mods is a fools errand: future mod authors will not be able to guess that hatch_engine_v6r4 is already in use... but I doubt that any of them will be trying to use a name such as blijo_hatch_engine_v6r4. I name all of my parts in this way.

I also have the same problem.
I only have 16 mods installed, and it still happened with only this mod active.
Note that I did a clean reinstall a few days ago, so it's unlikely that it's a bad copy of the game.

is there any possibility to see a configuration based on the Renault 5 Turbo in the future?
A RWD + Turbo (lag) + short wheelbase rally car.
The Metro 6R4 was already difficult enough to drive. But what about this car?
It would be an interesting addition to this fantastic mod.
Just a shortened wheel track up front and inline 4 engine, and it would look pretty much the same.

 

the car feels slow, Even more than Unodded BeamNG rally cars.

EDIT: The mod was conflicitng with other ones, the car handles good.

 

I hate to be that guy, but why was the roof line changed from the standard covet?

Is there a way to increase the high speed?

 

In the tuning settings, there is a final gear setting. Turn that to the lowest. Play with the transmission as well if you want. Lower gear ratio= higher top speed, less acceleration. Higher gear ratio=lower top speed, Higher acceleration.

 

If you take the rear end gear down to 2.4:1 you can exceed 210mph, I have done that but it gets VERY VERY unstable at those speeds its down to the short wheelbase of the car, they cant handle the higher speeds than a longer wheelbase car
