First of all, it's "lore-friendly", not "vanilla", you would only say that to vanilla cars in the game, not the mods.
Secondly, absolutely nobody cares that it has to be a real car or not. Bitron B2 mod for example is literally just a Citroen C2 with different badging, and it's still on the repo although being outdated for modern standards.

 

Побратим, я тебе обьясню логику, разрабы берут за основу реальную машину, и переделывают что бы небыло исков в суд, когда ты берешь за основу реальную машину и просто меняешь шильды, это уже как по мне выбивается из аутентичности игры, санбурст который недо бубару и тут такой хоба мазда цх с шильдой ибишу, я только из за этого такие моды не понимаю, за задумку и реальизацию респект, но если сравнивать с винильным замыслом, то это не то. so i translated it myself for others but i'll break it down into stuff he's talking about.

basically he's telling me that i should do something like devs do, taking a real car for inspiration and then try to copy it with a different design approach, not to do a "rebadge" of a sunburst into this.

As i said, nobody cares if it has to be a real car or not, i myself don't have skills yet to make a original design for a car yet, i tried it once and it ended up looking like an old Ford Focus. I'm not going to be wasting another 2 weeks on remaking the entire design of the car, everyone likes it the way it is and i'll keep it that way.

lets just be fair here, it's just a VW Passat lifted up, i would still consider that as a sedan, not a SUV or crossover. But i have already said that CX-7 doesn't comes in sedan configurations, so no way i'm adding those.

Ya I agree adding a sedan variant would be silly, I was just pointing out that fact and was not serious about it.

Btw, the mod looks amazing and really unique. It reminds me of another indian car, the mahindra marazzo (but not exactly) from many angles (and of course the CrossSport is more upmarket).
