import hatch.. export hatch..

    Im about to look at making a vehicle..

    first up though.. I imported the hatch to max... to take a look at it.

    then literally exported the hatch.. no changes..

    in game things are mostly ok except for the tyres.. the texture appears to flicker between several (incorrectly mapped) wheel textures including a normal map.

    Can anyone suggest why something is changing on DAE export. (file size also increases from 9mb to 12mb)

    DAE / FBX version perhaps.. or devs not using max perhaps?

    gabester uses blender to model things but there are problems with blender too

    Last time I checked he was using 3DS Max.

    Are you checking if the material didn't change when exporting?

    thanks.. well good to know its not an exclusive issue. since posting this I have been getting the impression that blender is the main tool used for the game.

    I will check this. we are expecting it to re-write the material I presume? thanks.

    Gabester uses 3ds max for 3d modelling. Well, that has been his answer for the past 4 years :p
