I was thinking more along the lines of a Group A rally car. It's funny, we have a FWD rally Covet, and a RWD one, but no AWD
Realistic OEM paint options Improved lighting in vehicle interiors (The gauges on the Hopper and Bastion are nearly illegible in broad daylight) Better audio in vehicle interiors- squeaks, rattles, beeps, chimes Individually colorable body panels More OEM wheel and hubcap options for certain vehicles (Sunburst, '89 Pessima, I-Series) Another thing is more diverse configs for certain cars in order to make the manufacturers feel different from one another. A Sunburst hatchback with body cladding and funky wheels (think Crosstrek or Outback Sport) would make Hirochi feel more outdoorsy and would lend precedent to the offroad and rally configs.
oh nice, yeah something along the lines of a Pulsar GTI-R or Familia GTR would be cool to see, nothing like an early 90s Japanese 4WD rocket catchback
A larger city map. At less than a quarter square kilometer, Belasco is, frankly, hilariously tiny - a "metropolis" shorter than a drag strip.
If they just made the raceway its own California map, kinda like East Coast and Hirochi Raceway, they could make the city much bigger.
I think there are a LOT of small things that could be improved. For example, some car parts have yet to be PBR-ed. The most obvious example imo is the Roamer...like, the offroad parts (and running boards) look kinda weird now because they still haven't received PBR, unlike the D and H series. The body trim on the Roamer also clips through the fender flares for whatever reason, this isn't a big problem, but I can't unsee it now that I've noticed. Speaking of the Roamer, it would also be nice to see more than 1 option for the roof-mounted spare wheel. Currently the only spare wheel option is the GripAll TXR, so, well, more 17x9 options will be very nice. A lot of the wheels can also be updated with PBR materials. Most of the Okudai wheels look fine, with the exception of the PR01, which looks like it can be improved with better materials. The Trail 250 beadlock wheels could also do with a material update since they look very unreflective currently. A game engine limitation is the way lights work. I posted this on the D15 thread a while ago (Gavril D15 | Page 51 | BeamNG) on post #1011. So, yeah, the small things.
Talking about lights, I think the pop-up headlights in BeamNG could use a rework as they aren't realistic. Real pop-ups come up first and then light up whereas BeamNG's pop-ups are lightened up from the start.
I miss tow trucks! And the ability to haul loads, and lift stuff with cranes, like we did back in the day with Rigs of Rods.
Maybe add a multiplayer system. And another idea I had was to add an option to put Jato on all cars. Jato is on certain cars like the American bus, but having the option to add to slower cars like the Gavril D-Series would be really fun. Some cars that are already fast, like the Bruckel Bastion, EKT K-Series, and the Civette Scintilla, but it would be fun to have an additional boost of speed. I also think that Beamng. Could add tow trucks and cranes to make it more fun. Also, they could add something that would allow replaying a crash (I know they have the UI replay app, because I use it) from an AI car's perspective. They should also make maps much bigger, an airport to travel to other maps, or be able to drive down the highway to get to another map, such as being able to drive from west coast USA to east coast USA. Another thing they need to add is a crash test dummy, as there are mods for them, but I feel they need to add them to the vehicle page WITHOUT mods. In addition, it would be cool to see some really old cars, like the Ford Model T. They could also create a map dedicated to a city, not like West coast, where it has a city, but most of the map is highway, making the drag strip in the city longer than the city itself.
We just need effects overhaul + some more environmental fixes (rain systems, dynamic grass like modded asseto corsa and dynamic weather)
This is literaly the single biggest issue Beam has right now to few and way to small maps so that it barely feels openworld before they doo anything fancy they should really do somehing about this... Like the mentioned sectioning to get rid of that very anoying ,,running out of floatingpoint numbers'' problem That literaly prevents beam from getting map sizes for the 21th century....
Yes, but it would be easier if you didn't have to download a mod, but I know there is a mod --- Post updated --- Honestly I think the biggest thing they need to add is bigger maps. It is not even open world at this point, with those maps being so small. Except for Italy, that is a pretty big map.
realistic halogen turn signal light, I can't say for sure but I don't think it's technically difficult for example, the left side is halogen turn signal light
pre war cars. pre 1949 stuff. i dont care if half wooden. ( pre 1936 ) Or early steel ( 1935ish ) to 1948, Something with a straight 8 ( yes that was a thing ) with no synchro on the 3 speed box ( if they ever add support for that ) Something that may top out about 100 to 120 kph. maybe a classic V12/v16 if luxury, While i am NOT keen on roding and modding ( i like stock am boring ) Just think of the rods you could build. Even adding a fleet power or mega or ultra thrust. new suspension, and auto with a chop top. Will make a fun rod. or rat rod ( i really aint keen on rat rods lol again am boring ) BUT low as anything with massive engine and a real low chop top. I would love a pre war car so badly. other than that some aussie kind of cars. and more sedans ( am a sedan/coupe freak ) I love a early/mid 90s ( covet/sunbust ) size sedan. with non color coated bumpers, Something terrible and basic in base BUT fun and revy in sport trim. again covet sedan if they add it will fit very well BUT can never say no to new cars that and the other stuff. Limo ( maybe based on moonhaek/GM ect ) and way more i can think of. BUT Mostly pre war stuff will be lovely
