I have to edit all the mods I have previously posted. I used the same base files and just made changes to each but some of the names are still the same. this will cause the like named parts to not spawn. might be what you are experiencing. Try to only put one of my posted mods in the mod folder. I will be posting a single zip that includes all the suspensions after making them all work together.
View attachment 782514 there is a proposal to add air suspension front and rear to the pickup irs test suspension and it is advisable to put softer springs since they are sooo hard now and a removable stabilizer to add rear suspension travel is very small
I can do controllable air ride I just have to build the 3d model for it. I will make the spring tension adjustable in game so everyone can adjust to their own preference. the "IRS test" mod has very little travel because the upper control arm is extremely short. I have been thinking about building a lowrider specific suspension after I finish with the high travel stuff. It would be a completely different design to accommodate moderate travel and lowrider stance.
that is, the IRS Test will have a longer suspension travel and air springs can also be supplied from an ETK SUV
I will look into the ETK suspension. They have different frames so unless I can implement a change to the pickup frame as part of the suspension then I probably won't be able to make it work as is. If that is the case I will see about altering it to work. Thanks for the info about the ETK suspension.
Update: I am working on a taller and wider suspension that is better suited for the tires on the previously posted tire mod. I have looked into the ETK suspension and I am going to try and make a custom D-series frame that will be compatible with it. I have the 3d model done, just working on the Jbeam now. This mod version has an updated rear highboy suspension and, per request, a 4 wheel steering set.
Sorry for being so lax. Been on a Burnside kick lately, and not overly up to critiquing the IRS. After extensive testing, in regards the Highboy suspension: Cons: Well first off IRS is invisible to me. Rear suspension Still too stiff. Suspension can still get stuck down at times. Toe Adjust needs to be around 65 or greater for the front wheels not to have very excessive toe in(front of front wheels turning towards one another). Sometimes the front wheels break off under throttle when the vehicle is on it's side. Under heavy turning with large wide higher grip tires(like ones I linked i a previous post), more-so with acceleration especially with wheel-spin, rear steering wheels like to wobble like mad. Rear suspension takes more damage on like 70% of big jumps then the front, and then IRS sags noticeably while front is fine. No customizable LSD in front On jumps where perhaps they should not, front wheels break off even though suspension is fine. a stronger hub option or some such might be good at least for the front though. Pros: I like how high the suspension goes. I like the extreme camber angle(though at 0 it seems to have just a tiny bit of negative camber even with the ride-height set 0 as well), The rear steering is a nice touch(a bit twitchy at high speed as steering angle does not depreciate as vehicle accelerates touchy but still badass). Despite aforementioned IRS tendency to sag after big jumps the suspension still allows for some higher jumps vs most other suspensions with less damage. It looks good, up high with big ass knobby wheels. That is what I have found thus far, Might be more Pro's and Con's to report. though this is it for now. Keep up the work yo, 3.6/5(would be 4 but the rear end seems to be invisible).
Unfortunately my 3d model file corrupted. I noticed it after posting last update so that might be the invisible parts issue you are having. Anyone else that tried the last mod update please let me know if your parts were invisible also or did it work for anyone? I haven't been working on the mod much lately because weather is good here and I have been working on projects in the shop. I will see about getting the 3d model redone. I have found the suspension works best with 42" tires or smaller. I have been researching how to very the rear steering based on vehicle speed (not much info out there.) I am going to try different spring locations and angles to get better performance. I also have a half done monster version that is intended to work best with bigger tires. Stronger hubs and everything really. Having problems with 3d model on that project as well. As for the wheel alignment settings, they very too much based on all the options so I can only set them straight for one set up. Thanks for the feedback.
Oh wow been a while since this has had any attention. I didn't realize. I been a bit lax in BeamNG(more then I have been in months/years), though that's not why my thread has no had a reply from me. I usually respond after progress has been mad on the suspension, or maybe someone posts otherwise. Perhaps in part to my lax game-play is why I didn't realize how long since a reply here. Anyway BUMP lol
hmm hey lucas mess would it be alright its been on hold alot of its life can i use ur suspention jbeam for a mod im trying to bring into game its the hoonitruck but i just to havent had time
@bremer yes please do, use the suspension for your own build. I started making them for my own use and found this thread so I decided to share for all to enjoy. @Jorge Arturo sorry for the long break, I try to use the summer time to take care of all my other projects that I can't work on during the cold of winter. I am going to be making more updates now that summer is coming to an end. Current plan; I am going to try and install the independent suspension from the ETK onto the truck for more of a high speed performance option.
Ok everyone, I'm seeking some help. I have code and mesh done but when I put it on the truck the whole truck melts down like ice cream on the stove and then explodes. I have searched the code and cannot figure this out. There is no errors reported under the tilda. Anyone experience this before if so did you get it fixed?
Code file was corrupted and tearing down the code for the other components of the vehicle. Fixed now after starting new code file. I took a little trip down memory's Lane and noticed that I never finished the corrections (wheel offset, travel camber, ride height, exc.) to my original IRS mod. So I have been working on that and I am hoping to have it posted this weekend. It will include a new frame special to this suspension. So if you like your truck low this one is for you. It will also include IRS to match stock lifted IFS.
I uploaded the stock height IRS I just finished as a mod. It also has the lifted option to match the front. You can find it here. Currently waiting on approval but I'll post it here too if anyone wants. D-Series Independent Rear suspensions 4.0
Use the race coils because they are fully adjustable in game. Lower it down front and rear. Set up all wheel drive with front and rear limited slip. I promise it will slide corners in Utah like Mr Block.
