I think each building needs to be separate, or at least groups of buildings next to each other. Give them LODs. Everything is highest detail all the time currently... You could also disable collisions on everything that you wouldn't normally be able to access. EDIT: 314,725 tris for the buildings alone... Wow.
Blame that on codemaster... I added collisions on the vehicles, trees and some buildings. i was thinking about doing the stadiums but its already not so fps friendly as it is. How long did you wait? As i said in the description, the first time loading might take 2-3 min. (it took me 2:42 on an ssd)
The low textures are weird. I tried fixing it but i dont know. they show up like that in 3Dsimed as well. which is weird. Also, if you have any suggestions on what map i should do next. tell me. im asking myself what i should do next.
Also, some model "bugs" The turn 1 for the road course is the one that I circled, your model did one of two "turn 1", I'm not sure which one; There's a modify to turn 10 in recent years (I know some new games like "Real" Racing 3 is still using the old layout) And there's a short road course now Speak of next map, as a Chinese, I'd like to see Shanghai International Circuit(It shows up in every F1 games since 2004 'cause it's holding the Chinese Grand Prix, but not sure if it's in GRID Autosport)
Well, as i said, im not the original author of the map, i only converted it. The map is from Grid Autosport. theres not much i can do really. i could try to make it but it would take way too long. Also, the maps does not need to be in a "grid" game specifically, there is a ton of different games that i can import maps from. most of the codemasters games actualy. aka dirt, grid, probably the f1 games as well. Ill look into it tho. thanks.
Thanks, nice conversion. Had to open map.mis and reduce visibleDistance = "2000" to 1000 to get a playable frame rate though.
Wait for the program to respond, it crashed on me but I left it for 5 minutes and came back to see my car on the track.
When I first loaded it it froze after ten seconds, then the "the program isn't responding" window came up and after clicking "wait for the program to respond" it loaded the map perfectly fine after a few seconds.
ok i test your advice --- Post updated --- no don't run . After game crash come the screen of reports
What version of the game are you running? Also, for anyone who has a lof of problems loading, try this. I uploaded the cache of the map Place the indianapolis folder in here: C:\Users\*Your name*\Documents\BeamNG.drive\cache0.5.1.0\levels --- Post updated --- So, im looking into the fps friendly version of this map. I was able to get 10 ish more fps. i didnt go under 30 fps. But it is still kinda low compared to the 60fps i always have. Deleting the buildings/stadiums could be an option but i want to know if its something you would want.
i put your cache but now come after the crash virtual memory limited using 64 bit system. Why? I have Windows 7 64 bit
