The Topkick is never a Class 8 - it's not heavy enough. It's a Class 6 instead, with certain configurations (paticularly the tandem-axle version of the first generation) being Class 7.

In the pictured configuration, it's a class 6 pickup truck. Very unusual - only the Topkick and International XT-series ever seemed to enter into this automotive niche.

As a sidebar, how did the OP get banned with zero messages, and how is this thread still active if that's the case?

would those ford F650 pickup conversions also be a class 6 pickup?

I think they'd fall under that. Class 6 is over 8,845 kg and under 11,794, so if it fits between those two weights, it's Class 6. I think that the F650 conversion varies a lot depending on paticular configuration, so it might be Class 5 in certain specs.
