The capri is possibly the fastest real-life vehicle ingame so I can't imagine wanting to go faster, but you can open the parts menu and select the most powerful engine

I have the rocket thrusters of the Hell Truck set to this. It launches off like a absolute bullet.

    thrusters": [
    ["id1:", "id2:"],
    {"factor": 3800000},
    {"thrustLimit": 60000},
    {"control": "E"},

How do I get the truck to not tip over when going over 400MPH? It wants to roll over when before it gets to 500MPH. I want it to get to 10,000 MPH.

    lol.. just 10000mph? That's all?

Might experiment with changing the nodeweight of the frame. Ie you can make the front heavier or the rear.

Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" in Tools > Folder options > View
You didn't need to change the file extension anyway. You can open it by dragging it into Notepad.
Alternatively, you can open Notepad and do a File > Open and change the dropdown from "Text Documents (*.txt)" to "All Files (*.*)"

For any shifting or performance problems:

make sure you take the highest torque number in your engine, and make that number the same for the "clutchTorque" variable in the corresponding transmission!

Hey im reading through this because I want to make a car faster, but i can't seem to find the right file path.

right now im looking in D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive

because there is no beamNG folder in my users app data folder...

so far i dont see the vehicles folder

Sorry, I found it... had to dig around further. The "vehicles" folder is inside another folder called "content" or something like that.

Anyways, I can confirm this works with the current version of BeamNG. Great stuff. Modding the power of the engine is very interesting - it's not as drastic as you might think, you may need to up your torque values by a whole order of magnitude to get noticeable results.

I did this and my wheels started wobbling and then fell off. It is a front wheel drive car so what should I do to stop this from happening. (Btw I’m not using full version I am using tech demo)

Also changing the gear ratios and the final drive gear can get you much faster top speeds

    calm down.
i was only replying to the posts at hand, as a joke really.
hence the nonsense in my post.
i didnt create the bump anyway. And calling them out is quite toxic anyway.
