I understand, but maybe say it like you did the second time, "why don't we do this" instead of "just run windows media player" say it openly to discussion not "my way is better."
Now, let's not make this a Hati hate-thread, I just like the idea and want discussion for all!
    :p

I used to think Hati was a good influence on this site at first.

Now I picture him like Godzilla stompin' on everybody's buildings and setting people on fire.

Come along children... No need to insult each other.

Personally i don't think the game should have music built in as that would require a larger file size and licensing. Not to mention how different people have different tastes. A game that has done this correctly is Euro Truck simulator 2 (i highly suggest you lay the demo, it last about 5 hours). You can put your own music in a folder and the game will play it for you, therefore avoiding legal issues and keeping file sizes down. This also means people can listen to what they want to hear. I also like how you can get online radio as I quite like some of the digitally imported radio stations, so having in game control of them is nice.

But Hati does have a point, In rigs of rods i just listen to my own music or internet radio through zoom player (the media player i use) . The only problem with that is newer versions of the game don't react well to alt+tab'ing out of the game. But the Torque3D engine deals with that very gracefully so it is still an option in this case.

But the idea i made of allowing online radio and the ability to add your own music was answered in a thread i made a while ago. If I remember correctly the response was along the lines of it being a very (very) low priority so i doubt we will see anything in that field any time soon.
