I definitely need to choose a vehicle other than the '68-'70 Charger mod as that car doesn't even fit down some roads, but this map is very nicely done.
Hello, I've tested this map and it's great, except one thing. On bus routes, when you go to the first stop, as soon as all corners becomes green it lead you to failed mission for the reason "skipped a stop", so it's impossible to complete even a single stop. Regardless of this it's a very good map
3.5/5 stars for this.. Made for smaller compact cars, not at all TT's (talking about tollbooths) AI paths are weird though.
Yes I know, I took the wentward bus as a baseline for the width of the tollbooths, but I may change it later. I will be fixing AI paths when I get a new pc because currently I'm not able to run traffic
You can find some testers. It's not that I really want this mod, it's just that I have a decent computer
No need for that. Just get it from the repo and write me a dm if there is anything worng. Thanks for your help
Sorry for not getting out an update, but I currently can't work on the map as 0.30 replaces a bunch of text an icons in the world editor with question marks.
You can join the discord: https://discord.gg/XGS4sktsBq. Please dm me you dc name so I can get you a tester role
Good evening, the map is interesting, but there are problems with lighting. Let me give you advice on how you can replace and optimize the light. To begin with, in place of "Spot Light" it is better to use "Point Light" as it is much more optimized. On the 1st screen you can see how the “Spot Light” rays from the pillar intersect, thereby loading the system even more. This can be solved as shown in the 4th and other screenshots, you take “Point Light” and make an artificial light bulb, limiting the range to almost a minimum, then in the distance you do the same “Point Light” only with a larger radius, reducing flickering to 0, which is not to see where exactly the light comes from, creating the illusion as shown in the 2nd and 3rd screens, thereby we create an optimized illusion of lighting. I've seen maps many times where lights turn off and on at specific times, but haven't found an answer on how to do this. I understand that you are using a script, please could you explain how you made it, and is it possible to fit other light sources into it? Thank you very much in advance!
Thanks for your help. I will definitely look into optimising the lights more. I actually found a nice tutorial on how to make the lights turn off and on automatically. They just copy the script from small island. Here is the tutorial: https://www.beamng.com/threads/tuto...-for-your-map-with-pics-gifs-and-video.80508/
Couple of things: For the trains, can you 1. make a train ferry dock as railroads on islands almost always need a way to get to the other tracks, 2. Add a ford over the river on a small rural road, 2. Make some street running (train tracks on streets) tracks and stations, as well as some industrial buildings and tracks so the railroad can deliver goods, and make a train tunnel as well. 3. add some runway landing lights and equipment, 4. fix some of the rivers that have no water on the mountainside, 5. add outskirts with industrial buildings to the town as I already said, I know there are some by the port but there should be a bit more,6. add houses for the vineyards that usually are the owners of them, 7. add more churches, make one for every town as it is in italy , 8, add some cliffside buildings, 9, one side of the island is very undeveloped and maybe you could make another fishing village, 10, make a small travel/hotel thing outside of the airport, 11, make an airfield as well
