Released KLJP 1.5 RELEASE

To be clear I wasn’t expecting it to take exactly 3 days, however I think two months is highly excessive wait time. At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if career mode comes out before the update of this mod does. Just sayin

 

That was rather aggressive and quite rude actually. May I remind you that one or the last major "bug fixes" came with 2 new cars. So maybe chill out? Comments like this discourage progress instead of encouraging it.

LJ became employed relatively recently, my work schedule ramped up as i am a manager, and both of us havent made KLJP the highest priority in our lives recently. I could put out updates a lot more frequently, but you'd just get half baked content since a lot of what we do heavily emphasizes trying to remain similar or to-par with base game content quality. To be frank, especially with the vehicle remasters, the devs can seem to decide on what dev quality is anymore, but thats still beside the point. No, that's not a jab; it's just easy to tell which remasters they cared more about than others. And regardless, KLJP is the last configuration pack alive now. They became extremely unsustainable quite a few updates ago as vehicle complexity seriously ramped up. The fact this project still exists, even to me, is surprising.

Ultimately, this is a hobby and passion project, not a form of income or a job commitment. WBIMP crashed due in part to my own mental health because i put way too much on my plate. I'd rather not repeat that.

resorting to the whole freedom of speech response is kind of hypocritical, since they are equally entitled to condemning your condemnation of KLJP update wait times. I'd rather not have the argument happen here regardless, since it gets nothing done.

 

I know it seems like he’s just a common complainer but I don’t think it’s fair to antagonize him. although he’s being a tad od about it, he brings a fair point about how long it’s been for a public update

it’s been 2 months since 0.28 and the mod is still not updated, mixed with not the most active transparency his comments are valid, although some unnecessary

whether paid or not, you still do have an audience and a community to attend to

however, I can confirm besides all this, behind the scenes progress is moving very well

Suggestion that we only have the right to complain if we pay is the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard, just backwards thinking all the way around. I know that everyone else has their own rights to free speech as well, however something that we shouldn’t forget is that I also have the right to disagree.

With that being said, I honestly did not intend to sound that rude, I am sometimes bad at online tone so my attempts to get a point across may seem like I’m being an a-hole. My apologies to anyone who taken offense at this.

Thanks for clarifying. This makes more sense now that I have some context as to what’s actually going on. I know I said this above already but I’m not great at online tones and don’t mean to sound rude. I did not realize both you and LJ were working, but I stil understand that both of you have real life priorities. Keep in mind that experiences like this can help me get better at online tone. I also hope you can find relief from your mental health challenges.

This exactly. Transparency is appreciated, so viewers of the thread are actually aware of what’s happening, or why the update is delayed. Once we know this, it’s a lot easier to understand why it hasn’t been updated yet. Thank you

I'd say that most problems regarding this topic could be solved by people trying to fix their mod instead of complaining that it is broken. Personally, I am able to fix one thing or another for my personal use, and if I can't fix it, I look if that bug was already reported and, if not, I report to the authors. I know that if I break the mod by trying to fix it, it is my own problem, since its functionality is not warranted after the last game update until a mod update comes out.
So dear forum users, instead of whining about the invisible steering wheels and the long wait for the mod update, put your ass in the chair and start learning how to fix the bug that bothers you. I did that on the SBR4 Facelift and learned a bit how the new latching system works. Does it work flawlessly? Of course not, the front hood doesn't fully opens, but that doesn't bother me more than the invisible steering wheel (which was REALLY easy to fix), so I don't mind. GIVE THE AUTHORS TIME TO FIX THE DAMN MOD.
