The graphics of the game was greatly increased, note the additional detail on all of the maps.

ok i have understood that the gt620 is not a gamer graphic card but my computer is essentially use for fsx (so it's not so bad and i haven't any problems...)
nexte if i play in "slowest" i can play on the all map without any problems, i just wanted to know if there is not a problems (of compatibility or other...) but now i have understood that it's my gt620...
so i think the topic can be close, thank you gabester :)

The CPU should be fine, the GPU is the problem. The official maps are too much for it.

This map was playable with my HD3000, it should also be good on your GT 620. (Worth noting the guy making it hasn't finished it yet, it's currently about half done.)

You really have no idea what you're talking about...

Since you didn't say, I'm going to make the logical assumption that you have an i5-2400. All in all, that's a fairly low-middle end system nowadays.

In addition to the map above, try the daytime version of this map. Should be very playable, you may even be able to turn some settings up a bit.

I understand that you now understand.

I find it offensive and annoying that so many people think a "15 year old 'child'" knows nothing about how technology works... don't even give the chance that maybe, just maybe, they know what they're talking about...

They said it had performance improvements and I'm just trying to play on the blank grid map. I used to manage mediumish settings at 1080p beforehand. It may be driver issues and stuff though, its a new windows install. Im looking into it.

CPU load was decreased. GPU load was increased.

I'm not sure to be honest. My card is 8x more powerful than OP's in pretty much every metric and its getting worse performance.

It may well be some type of issue on your end, but I am merely clarifying the performance changes they made. Physics calculations were made more efficient, while graphics were improved, resulting in a heavier GPU load.

I hope its an issue on my end! its my favourite game :(

That sucks for me too because the GPU is the weak part of my computer >_< I have an awesome i7 that doesn't get utilised much.
Hell, I know its basically impossible but I would love to use my integrated graphics and dedicated card in tandem too.

    I don't have any problem running it on full settings and 1080p with a 7950 (R9 280 is a rebranded 7950).

Same here, but it's due to the new UI, there is a 10 fps increase if I turn it off. And some app are heavier than others, like the wheel debug app, not sure why but that app alone can eat 10 fps.

Oh wait I thought you meant you're getting worse performance than before the update, not camparing to the op :p my bad.

Yeah, I am getting much worse performance than before the update!

I just figured out that theres no difference at running high settings at 1080p, than at lowest settings at 640x480. the exact same 10-12 fps. :/

I just hooked up a wheel that I didnt have before, could it cause it?

Pausing physics brings me up to 350FPS. Not sure if thats relevant.

According to Task manager and process explorer its only using 0.5%.
Its a i7-4960HQ, more powerful than a lot of the processors in dedicated gaming laptops. :/

Although it seems like some sort of funky business going on with the way the CPU is interfacing with the game, I agree.

Check you aren't in low power mode and also overheating causes those Chios to throttle big time (laptops struggle to remain cool)

Holy shit, it was in low power mode.

Been tinkering with computers since I was old enough to hold a screwdriver and I managed to miss that, cant believe it. >_<

Thanks so much!! Getting 170fps on 1080p now ^_^

You shouldn't tell a forum member he's childish, especially if you can't even form basic sentences properly.

Funny that you say that, because I have a GTX 650 with a i5 3470 and medium settings and I get between 40-60 FPS. Not the best perfomance, but it's definately playable.
