My computer collapsed from a virus, I feel your pain. This is how the computer looked after the virus. There was no physical contact with the computer at the time, it literally just fell apart (collapsed) seconds after the virus
Advertisements are based on your search history. You only have yourself to blame for getting porn ads.
I beleive you about the ads try add block plus here is a link https://adblockplus.org/ this is the one i use i swear this works insanely well, it blocks like ALL adds
This off-topic discussion is...interesting. Er, I just use the adblocker built into my Opera browser. It works great! Anyways, thanks for the repost of the map. I shall enjoy it.
I've gotten broken uploads/downloads via mediafire + bad ads. Use Mega as its better, never seen an ad there but use adblock + firefox browser - I'm a holdout yes... For map betas it can't be beat as my Roane County map is over the file size limit.
Jesus Christ...all this virus talk bullshit and little if no appreciation to a veteran map maker doing something really nice for us. Thanks Ouerbacker. I hope you don't drift too far.
Might have been me contacting you about that map, ive got a few questions about it when ive posted screens from it. Love this damn map, still my favourite.
This map IS awesome. There's no reason not to love this. @Ouerbacker just has a certain style about him when he does maps, and for that, I respect him. Don't forget about us over here - and EDITOR UPDATES are coming with 0.12.
what? i never knew that i never searched inappropriate stuff like that now stop talking about the link pls enjoy this beautiful map instead
Nevada Interstate is based on Ouerbacker's map Black Hills 2014/2015 (forget which revision!) so no surprise the environment looks similar. Black hills was out for a year or so in various iterations before I published one of the first versions of Nevada Interstate (with permission!) about two years ago or so, in April 2016. Long before I released it though I had gotten express written permissions required. Nevada Interstate had a few rough revisions and finally got the polishing it deserved the last go-round last summer/fall or so if memory is correct. Then this map came out, I don't know if it was ever totally completed, but the rough state of the editor may be preventing it. Editor changes are coming when the next game version drops, whenever that is, is anyone's guess. I'll just pull the old Duke Forever card off the wall, and say 'it'll be done when it's done'... Searches for internet can be looked up by facebook, myspace, twitter, etc, and also cookies and such, can all determine what ads you see. In the absence of this data, it'll just default to something, possibly something in appropriate. So if you get bad ads, or something else, it may not be that you specifically are or have been interested in something like that, it may just be pulling the short straw. Downloading files not stored on Beamng.com inherently then has risks, and is not controlled nor warranted in any way by BeamNG team/co. So as always have your virus scanner handy and use caution. --Best of luck. If you like Nevada Interstate, and this map, you will like So-Cal Interstate, just be wary it can be stupidly laggy on older machines or lesser machines, the draw distance is set a bit higher than needed. It sorely needs an update... but go search for So-Cal Interstate if you want more freeway driving. It's not quite a bear to run as much as Roane County, but it has it's laggy spots.
OFF-TOPIC RANT! Most 'System Restore' USB drives or CD/DVD's (for slightly older machines), or computer drives contain (if major brand) an re-install / restore partition, or a USB/CD/DVD drive that will allow you to boot to the restore/factory reset function of the computer. You can then choose 'clean install' and restore the OS and applications (generally, I'd imagine some other really bad ones could find a deactivated partition pretty easily. In any case, if you've build your computer, drive maintenance software can write 0's to the drive, and that'll do away with it sure enough. You won't need to remove the drive from the machine, which allows for all kinds of user error (surprisingly lots of bad stuff can happen, many people don't want to take a single screw out of their computer, or even know how to remove the cover at all). YES, to previous topics in the thread, YES ads can get your PC sick but that's mostly from 'not safe for work' sites, or sites that you get linked to off search engines. You can report these sites to Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, or whoever runs your favorite search engine and save other's the trouble. Use an ad-blocker (get it from the Firefox, or Chrome website itself!!!), and UNBLOCK the site you trust, like Nexus (mods), Beamng.com, The Weather Channel, RT, guru3d.com, wccftech, anandtech.com, and a few others of your choosing. It helps sites make income on ads served and any click-thrus, and it helps keep the sites you love alive in general. If you LOVE a site, unblock the ads - and - of-course, tell your friends! And for crying out loud, DO NOT go to adult-only-oriented sites on your computer if you love your computer. Staying off the dirty picture sites, unsolicited links, questionable search engine results, and not committing acts of computer piracy ensures you only encounter legitimate programs and games. Get WOT (Web Of Trust) for FIREFOX (may be available for Chrome or other browsers, unsure), to know if links are safe or not BEFORE you click on them. It puts a little green/grey/yellow/orange/red circle by the link, then you can be sure! Yes, YES Google Chrome tracks your EVERY move. That's why it's FREE. If you don't like that, do NOT use it. Google is a data mining and analytics company at heart. It knows more about you than you think; but don't be paranoid unless you really do have something to hide. Seeing as this is completely off-topic and should be in the general/PC Hardware section of the forum, I'll shut up now. If anyone needs technical assistance, let me know with a private message or post to the PC hardware forum. I've only been doing this for about 24~25 years now since the pre-Pentium days, what's another day going to hurt? ON-TOPIC Obligatory comment! P.S. Hope this mod makes it out of the dark ages one day or I'm going to finish it one day this fall - The BOB thinks that @Ouerbacker 's work is tops, especially since it spawned Nevada Interstate - the map that started it all. Without @Ouerbacker , there'd have been no Bob Blunderton making highways, and without @DoullPepper , I'd have not bought the game at all (thank-you, oh precious salesman named 'Canyon of Speed'). PC + GAMES + MODS = Master Race. What good is a master RACE without a highway to race on, right? --Cheers!
