Yeah I thought I was doing the responsible thing by not making a new thread. In fact, I even said that. This section of the forum is called "ideas and suggestions" so I just wanted to add my opinion to an idea that was made. Just because some time has passed from the date the op made this thread doesn't make my opinion any less valid.
OK first of all sorry for bumping an old thread but i dont want to make a new thread just for this. and i also searched a few threads for the same thing that happened and nobody seemed to have had the same thing happened to them. I was playing around with mythbuster's Cadillac and i hit the back where the gas tank was. i didnt notice anything at first but then i realized that i hit the gas tank and it was leaking very fast and in a few minutes the car was not able to move because of the fuel. I thought id post this in this thread because its named "leaking fluids" I tried this with multiples official cars and nothing alike happened. I searched through all the pages in the thread of mythbuster's Cadillac and i saw what i was searching for. my bad. sorry for bumping this thread for completely nothing. This is completely my fault and i know. sorry.
Currently there is not a good way to do this with the graphics engine afaik, and it also doesn't have much purpose outside of "hey thats cool" because people pretty much crash and reset their cars without penalty every 10 seconds. Same kinda goes for airbags (theres no human's life being saved or even something to hit the airbag). I can think of a hundred things I would rather have first *not official response, just my personal opinion*
I view the vehicle fluids idea the same as having a good shattered glass and debris particle system: It will happen when the BeamNG program reaches a level where it is "affordable".
I don't really care about fluids visually leaking from the vehicle, I'd just like it to be simulated. Busted radiators, broken gas tanks, smashed oil pans, etc. And airbags would just be really cool. There are much more important things to do at the moment though.
Maybe a cool midway solution is not fluid leaking after a crash but steam maybe from the punctured radiator.
