I take that as you think my videos suck and I am just leeching money out of Youtube well nothing new there haters going to hate. But I don't understand why they are not happy about attracting people who enjoy crashes when they have made the game work so well that way and not so much any of the driving aspect they say they want to attract people to. The so called "Stigma" and idiots who enjoy crashes is what has made this game so popular and if it was just about the driving (As is now) then it wouldn't of been anywhere near as popular. The game will become more know for it's driving when it becomes better at it but you can't seriously think people are going to like this game for driving when it's just not that good at it now for various reasons? I know it will get a lot better but now no. If the Dev's want me to remove all my videos of BeamNG to get rid of this so called stigma then I will be happy to just got to ask.. I might as well post this then you can judge for yourself what kind of audience I get for the last year I think you might be surprised that it's not a bunch of kids watching my videos.
This so much, just wait until the traction and responsiveness is up to par, and racing is implemented. The sim racer audience will jump on it for sure, haven't been many good racing sims since Live For Speed was at its prime.
This, including other things have been said that they will be in game for the past year. Some bit of actual "missions" (spintires style?) would be nice at this point, imo.
there has NEVER been a game that does racing and realistic damage physics. We don't know for certain that its a bad formula to combine the two things. You won't be dealing with health bars arbitrarily halting gameplay, it will be actual physical damage. A hard crash won't remove "50% health", a hard crash will deform the car in some way. if you're lucky you avoid most vital components and carry on with some altered handling characteristics. We've never seen that before and it seems to pan out well enough in real races, why not in a simulated race? You won't end the race because you lost a health bar nextcargame style; you'll end the race because you actually broke something. That could work well. the cars in NG should be more durable than the ones in NCG, because impacts in beamNG don't deduct health, and if the car is built to handle them then it will handle them. 30 5mph impacts will total a car in nextcargame. You can have 5mph impacts all day in beamng and providing the bumper can handle it then you're all gravy. In any other game we just see things like "Oh, you hit a traffic cone - lose a health point". Great, I can only hit 99 more traffic cones. in BeamNG you can hit as many as you want and if the car can handle it then it probably wont' break the car. That's the subtle difference and probably the reason this realistic damage system should become a decent aspect of gameplay.
It will be interesting for sure. I think though that they are going to need to add a mode where you can play as the track crews to clear off damaged cars and debris. This game is going to have so much depth and be so much more than just a racing game. I am really on board the hype train for this one.
