Working on this pack really made me appreciate quality mods more. LucasBE's scout can really go sideways. Supported in the next update .
Got a bit bored after 2 weeks of steering work... so Burnside will have a sequential gearbox, shifter, hydraulic handbrake and most importantly... shifter padding! Fully animated and everything.
Updated. Temporary file in the first post. Rather proud of the progress. Sequential shifters and hydraulic handbrakes were a pain to add correctly, but well worth it. Burnside - add via the shifter slot. Grand Marshal - add via the new dashboard slot. Miramar - just add the transmission and go nuts.
sorry for the bump but not sure if you have planned it yet but you should definitely add the steering to the new bx!! definitely missing it after the update.
Heya, yeah actually working on it this weekend. I saw they added Ackerman adjustment to the ProDrift steering so I wanna see how they did it and maybe do an overhaul if it's better than my method. Glad to see there's an interest in my mod.
Resource updated, temporary file here. Added drift steering, prodrift steering for the new BX and a config for each that are quite exquisite if I may say so myself. Turns out dev method is the same as mine, but the overall steering geometry is much improved so I could push it further and the new BX can REALLY go sideways. Fixed Bastion too, great geometry in that one now as well. Temporary file:
Updates adder over the weekend: Added support for the old 200BX back in (requested) Added stuff for BX series: - Front tube frame that can have a bash bar (bumper support) and inner fenders attached (can install both bash bar and bumper at the same time) - Rear bash bar that can have a bumper or cut bumper attached to it (bash and bumper at the same time) - Sequential shifter for non-race dashboard (both lhd and rhd) - 6-speed sequential transmission. Added stuff for ETK800: - Ultra Heavy Duty i6 engine block (screaming i6 goodness) - Adjustable ECU for i6 (9000RPM limit) - Front bash bar from the BX in the bumper support slot (can have bash bar and bumper at the same time, slight clipping on widebody bumper but not bothersome) - Refined the adjustable steering for better stability and no more hood popping, refreshed the drift config - ETK800 engine upgrades moved to common so the new parts can be installed on all ETK i6 engines - Refined ETKC steering and drift config - Added BX bashbar to ETKC bumper support, (Can now install bash bar and front bumper at the same time) - Added stripped ETKC front bumper (removed fog lights and mesh), goes well with bash bar underneath
Thanks. Still figuring stuff out, adding things that I wish the devs had put in from the start. Hood turbos and cut front bumpers coming next. Update submitted.
thats amazing! if you need any help im here, i dont really know much but ive done some mods and im pretty good at jbeam and i have quite a bit of free time --- Post updated --- ill be happy to help)
Thanks, that's much appreciated. I may have questions as I go. For example how to get that hood exhaust to bend independently from the engine. Attach it to the chassis? Guess you can look at it when it's approved, it's easier that way.
you just make it jbeamed with nodes and itll bend according on how strong are the connections between the nodes if its clipping through the hood then make sure you have correct node collision type and make a hole in the hood jbeam
Yeah I'm working on that. Doesn't have a hole or collision with the hood right now cause I was getting horrible spiking and just wanted it out for the weekend. Definitely gonna have it there by next week. My biggest gripe was even with collision and a hole, it still just clipped through the hood after a crash instead of bending with the hole. Maybe that's just engine limitations.
Meh I pulled the update, gonna try to jbeam it better. You wanna look at it if you have some time? Will definitely credit you for jbeaming it. If you can give me an example of a hole I can do the rest.
