Linux Port – Feedback, Known Issues, and FAQ

I've been having this weird issue with my cursor on Linux Mint. I finally recorded it while I was playing which let me figure out what was causing it. Basically, the mouse cursor sometimes does not disappear after you stop moving it if you use the change camera button on a keyboard, controller, or wheel while holding right click to the move the camera. Here's more detailed steps:
- In orbit camera hold right click and move the camera around
- While still holding right click but not moving the mouse, change the camera using "c"
- Let go of right click without moving the mouse
- The mouse cursor should still be visible and not disappear when you start driving

Running Linux Mint 22.3 with NVIDIA driver version 590.48.01.

 

It's not just Linux Mint, it happens on the linux build in general, probably some issue with moving to SDL3 (if I remember correctly they went from SDL2 to 3), hopefully next patch might have this fixed, Full Screen/Borderless also suffer with a similar flash, at least for me.

Does anyone know the solution?

 

Watch when the mouse cursor dissappearing when not being moved, once it fully hides and you move the mouse again for it to come back it create the black flash/flicker, only happens in borderless/fullscreen mode, windowed mode is fine since it never dissappears.

Happens on both X11 and Wayland, I'm running Wayland on KDE Plasma in the video.
