Re: Update:[2/8] Grab Bar + Tail Light Done! - 2014 Honda TRX450R Happy to announce a double update! getting things done nicely!
Re: Update:[2/9] Double Update!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R Looks awesome, can't wait ! You could also be a pioneer and add a player model riding it (that can be used for autos as well)
Re: Update:[2/9] Double Update!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R I know that this thing will be excellent once it is done!
Re: Update:[2/9] Double Update!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R Quick little Jbeam update, started about an hour ago (imported from here) Currently got the frame and front suspension arms in, few more to go but I need to wait for JDM to add more stuff
Re: Update:[2/9] Double Update!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R hope it wont become too heavy with all that jbeam
Re: Update:[2/9] Double Update!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R Comeee onnnn! This is Sam you're talking about. He'll never do us wrong!
Re: Update:[2/9] Double Update!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R Its looking great Drowsy!! Remember not to play with the rear axle yet its gonna need some final adjustments. And I want the control arms to be able to tear off in enough stress. Same for the wheel hubs going on the control arms also. - - - Updated - - - 450r with fluids weighs about 388lbs. They are really light and hopefully with 45hp it'll pop a wheelie
Re: Update:[2/9] Double Update!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R You can change the mass of each node in a jbeam. I'm looking forward to this.
Re: Update:[2/9] Double Update!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R That's looking pretty cool, with lots of detail too. Since you're not working from blueprints ( which I know is a pain ), then one helpful tip that I learned is that if you create what you do know and can find info on, it will help you to model everything else more accurately. In other words, if you know what kind of engine this will use and you can find better and more accurate blueprints or other better photo reference on, then it might be better to complete that first to where you could then build the frame and other elements around it. An example would be that even though the frame looks very good, once the engine is completed you may find out how "off" the size and proportion the frame is then it would be a lot of extra work to go back and adjust / resize the frame to fit including motor mounts, connecting struts, etc.
Re: Update:[2/9] Double Update!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R My plan was to build the frame as close to the real thing as possible if u seen the folder for the reference images your jaw would drop lol. The frame is fairly accurate so I'll build off of its size. Thanks for the advice though man! - - - Updated - - - I am loving this every step of the way! The first post has the ingame shot, heres a blender shot of the current progress! Probably going to completely redesign the front wheel hub setup. Make it look correct.
Re: Update:[2/10] Suspension & In-Game!!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R You probably already know but the front suspension shouldn't move like that.
Re: Update:[2/10] Suspension & In-Game!!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R Of course, nothing has been tweaked yet. I should also note that it was dropped from quite high in that pic.
Re: Update:[2/10] Suspension & In-Game!!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R Nice updates ! Can't wait to try it !
Re: Update:[2/10] Suspension & In-Game!!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R This is going to be so fun. Somebody should make an indoor ATV track like you always see in games and on tv and stuff. Would be so fun to drive around in on the ATV. I'm picturing something like this from MXvsATV
Re: Update:[2/10] Suspension & In-Game!!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R I'd love to see someone import those tracks into beamng for this very reason! Theres a nice fancy new update in the OP!
Re: Update:[2/10] Suspension & In-Game!!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R From memory one of those games could export height maps so it would be quite easy to do, might even do one myself later Although you would need a rider that would move around to be able to use the tracks properly.
Re: Update:[2/10] Suspension & In-Game!!!! - 2014 Honda TRX450R The only problem I'd have is the the 3d mesh wouldn't have the proper characteristics you'd want. Maybe someone will make a track for it lol
