low-ish effort 2022 moonhawk obviously it should be modeled better, this is just a basic design 8 headlights (or 10 if you count the fog lights) because idk also this is the battlehawk variant, might make some more
View attachment 894375 --- Post updated --- its half baked and all of my motivation went away --- Post updated --- its starting to look like esesels shit so im giving up.
my creativity fell apart. Everytime i try to make a fictional car it looks like esesel's shit each time OR looks like something that already exists. --- Post updated --- --- Post updated --- this motherfucking "dodge grand caravan" knockoff
Spent like 15 mins doing a quick sketch before I had to go do other things. needs some refinement in some areas (especially front bumper). I'd like to figure out a way to better incorporate the Moonhawk's beefy front bumper and rounder body, but I'm on a time crunch right now.
Not too shabby, I may incorporate that into a final model however I’ve currently got somebody spending a good amount of time on a design. I’ll definitely consider it tho. --- Post updated --- A bit more constructive criticism on your concept, it doesn't quite look big and chunky enough to be based on the same platform as the Bastion. It looks much closer to a Mustang/Camaro, doesn't seem quite chunky enough. I think if you made it wider and lower, it would look more like the look I'm going for. The main reason I'm going for the chunky kind of look is the fact that the original Moonhawk isn't really in the same kind of class as a Barstow-like pony car, it's a behemoth that Gabester said was heavily inspired by GM A-Body cars of the time. Not really designed to be remotely good around corners.
as it was the IRL conclusion to the A-body, what if you threw in a small amount of 2000s monte carlo inspiration? (of course, this is about 15 years newer and a proper RWD muscle car rather than an earnhardt impersonator's car), but relatively to the impala, it's got more distinct side bodylines, the greenhouse is at least attempting to proportionally match the older car, and even on the monte, which was kind of pre-retro craze, there are still some subtle retro cues, like the kind of circular headlights and vertical taillights. another thing to keep in mind is that the moonhawk we have in-game would, in the broader scope of lore, be an undesirable generation, so you'd probably be better styling this after an imaginary "previous generation" to the '73 moonhawk.
I really liked how @Joobles design looked and I'm planning on using a lot of that design language in my final design, and maybe if I was to make a previous gen to the Moonhawk I would probably incorporate some of that design language as well, because I think it looked really good. --- Post updated --- I've also got @esesel 's design to work with, that looks really good too. He designs stuff really nicely.
Oh my god that's amazing, captures the Moonhawk perfectly What the Bastion should've been (yes, I know it's a different car altogether)
