Now supports the Moonhawk! Since buying this Alpha, I have been toying around with the vehicle physics. Being a fan of lowered cars, this mod was inevitable after getting a basic understanding of things. I know lowered & 'slammed/stanced' cars are not everyone's cup of tea, but I know there's at least SOME people that will enjoy this! They're all for the most part stable - meaning the wheels or shocks won't explode, or will the cars bounce around uncontrollably. This mod over wrights Sport configurations - BACK UP!! You have been warned!! If you don't like the mod, load the updater. It should revert the edited files Download V1: http://www.mediafire.com/?8awh641mwbszc9p Download 8/27:http://www.mediafire.com/download/4jvyublz529p6tk/Lowered_Cars_8.27_update.zip Download 9/12: http://www.mediafire.com/?c4avj5ydm3it4l2 Enjoy!! And remember
Tried doing this last night but I just couldn't get it to work or I was in the wrong area for editing . Nice work, will test them out!
Can I use your mod on another one of my mods called the amarican souped car... I need the low wheels on tI will put your name in the credits...
I have added the Grand Marshal and updated the suspensions to work with the recent update! If you'd like to do this stuff yourself you'll need Notepad++ navigate to beamngdrive\vehicles\hatch (or any other car) select both suspension files shown here: http://puu.sh/4gTdu.png now right click one of them while they're both selected and click "edit with notepad++" it should open both files. search for this clause starting with "hatch_coilover_F_sport" this is the front sport coilover. "beamSpring" and "beamPreCompression" seem to control the ride height. you will have to play around with values to see how things are affected. note: some cars (such as the trucks) have more than one suspension component, typically separated into shock and spring. go in game and load the car you were just working on, then load the sport config of it through the menu, you should see the changes you made. I suggest making a small change rather than a bunch, and then reload the level to see how it was affected. just exit to the main menu after saving your changes, and then open the level again and reload the sport car config.
I'll check your files against the original ones to understand what needs to be changed exactly for this to work. Then I'll add an option to do this in my editor . That's the kind of things I need. Pre-configured stuff that will allow you to just check a box or enter one single value to do just that next time you want to instead of going through a bunch of files with notepad.
I'd like to thank you greatly for this mod! I took the covet suspension you made and modified it some and it helped with my Covet GTi mod a lot!
