Mapping controls is buggy?

I have a problem where i cant rebind my controls? If i change one it doesnt show up as changed and i wouldnt be able zu to change them at all if i havent found a workaround... If i change a key map and then load a new world its changed afterward.. however i have to do this for evrey key (take quite long and is cumbersome) i have tried to reinstall... Has anyone else this problem? I cant imagine its supposed to be that way?

You probably have something that is preventing the file with your changes to be written down.
In fact you should also have the same issue keeping your other game settings.

Please check that your antivirus or any similar software is not blocking the game by mistake.
As well carefully check this list: https://wiki.beamng.com/Incompatible_Third_Party_Software

It's important that the game can write in your userfolder (located by default in Documents/BeamNG.drive - You can double-check where your is from Game Launcher > Move User Folder, at the bottom of the window)
