Ooh, that does look pretty cool already. Hopefully there's AI paths for traffic just like how the course has traffic in it as well.
Yeah, it should definitely have traffic when it releases. Also as a little update on the project as a whole, sorry I haven't updated this in a while, when version 0.25 (or 0.24, can't remember) completely broke the material editor it severely slowed down progress on making these. I have quite a few tracks sitting in almost-ready-to-release status like Toad's Turnpike, but the aforementioned material editor issues as well as just a general lack of time has caused finishing up the finer details to be quite difficult. Eventually I should have an update out with 7 or so courses, then I guess I'll focus on improving previous courses by packing them in files sorted by game, reducing filesizes, and adding in that music volume slider if I figure out how until they decide to fix the editor.
Merry Christmas! I really wanted to get a special track out for today, but as it goes with this project I lost everything so many times I couldn't finish it lol. I still want to get this out before the end of the year, and then hopefully the next big update soon after that. Then my plan is to go back and update the courses I've already done and finally sort them into game folders instead of a million separate downloads For now, here's some festive screenshots I took before I lost my progress again!
It's the winter season version of Animal Crossing, a course introduced in the Mario Kart 8 DLC pack 2, and it also appears in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
And this is how I realize I never hit send on the message I wrote . I meant to let you know that I wanted to get a few more courses done before the video was shot, but everything has been taking so much longer than it should lol.
No prob at all, tyt man! no rush! this is coming along amazing! besides, I just finally got my logi g29 so ill be on bng a lot more
You can probably make code so that when you go past the boosters it turns the wind up (place an invis object then code it)
I probably could, but that would cause the car to loose control a bit and probably wouldn't feel too great. My to-do list is getting pretty small! And now I can rip models from Mario Kart 8 and work with PBR textures, so some more courses from that game can be made.
@Joobles which track would you recommend if for driving at very high speeds at 200+ MPH on a Scintilla?
Hmmm, probably Mario Kart 8's GCN Yoshi Circuit, since it's both long-ish and from a new enough game where you won't hit any random jagged edges and lose control. You might be able to pull that off on Daisy Circuit too
looks really awesome though wondering could it be that all stages of these are in a one map of beam ng? With decal road thingy u can make AI paths
I know a few you could do! Mario Circuit (Wii), Toad's Factory (Wii), and Coconut Mall (Wii) (I have played way too much Mariokart Wii... can't ya tell )
