    So long as said Texan doesn't mind the idea of a drift truck, I'd recommend the Nissan D21 "Hardbody". Same engine as the 240SX, and with a low enough center of gravity to handle turns well. Also, there's less weight over the rear wheels, so drifting becomes much easier.

    How about ... A Mexcio City taxi driver searching for a sub-$6000 (USD) vehicle with ample rear legroom, an incredibly reliable engine, and decent fuel economy while also being common enough to make finding spare parts easy?
