This laguna seca raceway was an rFactor track afaik, created by codemasters, converted by com8. com8 also made a nordschleife. Getting it into BeamNG should be easy for skiper. I think he already has the meshes. If not, he can easily download them
My idea was not to convert, but made a 3D blueprint, to have the exact drawing of the track. The games studios use some points given by satellite data: they made a 3D blueprint. Personnaly I have no satelite in my pocket so if he would make a good job he need all data that he can have on this real track. The essential is no personnal satisfaction or the size of a ego, it is the quality of a job: work will remains, author will be forgotten. Without 3D blueprint you make something look like the nurburgring but it isn't. With he can save time and precision, very usefull when you have to model 20.8 km of road with 73 curbes, not a simple square plan with some jumps.
Thanks for this, but as others have said the corkscrew doesn't seem right. I assume this is from Toca Race Driver 3? I recall that being similarly unsatisfying...
Resetting does not solve the problem in the long run. Anyways, I got the same error as well.. about 2-3 turns in the track.. I decided to go slow-mo just because and it crashed & had the same error you had.
I was looking forward to messing around with this map, but every time I attempt to load it I get the error "Failed to create resource: [levels/Laguna_Seca/images/94_wire_d.dds]" Anything I could have done wrong on my side?
Holy crap this amazing I love this track and really this just demonstrates how much of a real racing sim drive can be. I'm hating how the gaming world looks at this game just as a demolition game. Take a seat and watch one of these YouTube videos and you will see some genuine realism. Now we just need some real cars, multiplayer and some gas and you have probably the best racing sim ever right here!
Agreed. I was wondering if someone would be able to port that to BeamNG (so long as they can obtain proper permission)
im downloading this it is very accurate and looks like fun. I used to play this on toca race drive 3!
Re: link dosent work Please, read through the entire thread before you ask questions like this. /facepalm
Map works fine, except for a weird glow n the middle of the pit lane that causes immense frame rate drops. I think it appears on Flat Grid for me too, no idea what is causing it.
I went to the alternative link so that it could work, however when I attempted to open it, it said it didn't have a program to open the file, any help?
