@MitchellKnb What engines have you got/are done? Do you need any help, would be happy to try make a M111 based C200K/C230K, family has a W204 C200K so I'm very interested .
For the W202 I am planning on the Classic, Esprit, Elegance and Sport model. There is no such thing as a W202 Avantgarde. The CLK will come in Elegance, Avantgarde and Sport. I want to make the AMG versions too but I will do that later as I don't want to keep you guys waiting till eternity . The W204 features the M271, M272, M273 and M156 petrol engines. The W202 came with the M111, M112 and M113 petrol engines (facelift that is, the pre-1997 models featured other engines too like the M104 inline 6). Thank you for the offer but I'm good. One thing I would love is a proper sound though, but please don't be offended if I reject the sounds you provide, as I'm quite strict on what I find acceptable quality and what not. To answere your question on which engines I have at the moment: I made the M111 in 2.0 form. it has roughly 136 hp and 190 nm of torque, however the car tops out at a mere 170km/h... I made a Kompressor intake as well which needs some more finetuning as at the moment it makes the hp figure rise roughly to the desired 163 hp but the torque is about 15 nm too low.
It more than just porting, I am reworking Everything, and the Jbeam has to be remodified, I am not using the one from RoR
Unfortunately I haven't learnt to make sounds yet haha also can't wait for the mod now that theres a supercharged variant already made!! BeamNG needs less turbos and more supercharged cars >_< I'll get back to you if I ever learn to make sounds but tbh our C200K sounds like a vacuum cleaner.
Maybe the C36 AMG bumpers, but not the regular ones I think. The CLK will come as a prefacelift though
I have done quite a lot of Jbeam work today! most of the Jbeam now has the correct shape. I also added the gauges panel. Will need to convert and place the dials though. Also I would love to get working temperature and time displays, but I'd have to teach myself how to do that..
Reworked the A-pillar mesh, reworked the doors to fit them, and removed the massive rubber strip around the doors and replaced it with gaps and rubber above and below the doors (like in real life) I added another bonus, can you spot it?
It either The Bumpers or the badging. Please tell me you still plan on making a rebranded version for the repo
Its one of those indeed! I might rebrand it in the very end when it is all finished. For now it will just be Mercedes-Benz.
Looks great so far, glad to see you back to modding after RoR too I would really like to have a Mercedes badged version though, at least here, the fake brands aren't as cool imo.
Yes! I meant a seperate rebranded version, the Mercedes-Benz version will be released on the forums in its original form!
After fighting with the speedometer dial forever I finally got it placed, then decided to do the warninglights However I would like to modify these as a Mercedes of this era has the lightbox light up, not just the icon itself. I'm guessing this has to do with the Alpha in the dds file. I'll experiment with that later on. For now I'm quite happy with the result, up next is to get the tacho, temp gauge en fuel gauge working.
Functional gauges! Got them illuminated as well with the help of Nadeox1 by explaining to me how to get the materials to glow up.
That warning light is also used for traction control warning on some models right? --- Post updated --- Also, do you plan on mapping glowmaps to the entire dashboard?
