This is getting out of hand. There is no massive conspiracy theory out there. No one has secret connections to devs so they can drop or leak hints here or there. The reason for all the secrecy is simple: the game is in development and things are subject to change. If they start talking about vehicles, or even let hints of vehicles get out (secret list) then people will take that as fact and get upset when those things never make it into the game, despite the fact that there was no guarantee that anything they say will make it into the game at all. They can't just go out and say "we are working on vehicles x,y and z. Expect them in game by years end." because during that time development priorities will change and there is a good chance that vehicle y will be cut, z will become something totally different, and only x will make it in as promised. People will get upset and start complaining "muh devs making promises they cant keep". Just drop it, and be grateful for what we get in the end. We got really lucky that the developers behind Beamng are as smart and forward looking as they are, otherwise the game could be dead or filled with a toxic ungrateful dev hating community.

This is an actual Beam related question, just curious why you cant put the Single HD wheels on the rear of vehicles instead of the Dually wheels? I just thought it was odd that its not a selectable part.

 

Well, the JBEAM of the dual wheels were actually merged into one really wide wheel to reduce CPU load, so they are impossible to separate.

 

but the single HD wheels are available as front wheels

 

If they made the front and rear wheels interchangeable it would be possible, but the more exciting prospect of that feature would be putting drag slicks on the front of the Covet with a 35 pound wastegate.

To those who are derailing the thread here (I know, stones and glass houses), I enjoy the speculation and collecting of knowledge, but maybe we aught to take it elsewhere. I come to this thead for dev posts.

@xboxkyle735: No official vehicle has ever been cut from the game, except (nearly) the SBR4, and we can probably expect it to stay that way.
