We also had a discussion about it and the result was: No sleeping! :[
There are more cons than pros in sleeping. We have some ideas on how to handle props more efficiently.

At the moment, if you spawn 40 cones, you end up with a quite performance loss. That's because each object is individual (and wants its own core), and as you add more objects, the CPU overhead goes up aswell.
The idea is to 'group' all these objects into one individual object, so that you would end up with 1 object, reducing overhead.
    Stay tuned

I... can't play that video in my browser...
"No video with supported format and MIME type found."
If I open the video by itself in a tab, I get "Video can't be played because the file is corrupt."
    :(

No. He just left his mic on and that his pc and him wheezing along.

Its a new recovery system very similar to the current one; It remembers your location on the map but now it also saves your rotation. The old one was just an X, Y, and Z coordinate while this one is X, Y,, and Z plus rotation. At fist I thought it was just a very laggy video of him driving backwards in an S curve.

Nice! That should prevent being recovered inside a tree. :)

It doesn't really have much of a performance impact. Of course, if you are already CPU bound, it's not going to make your game run faster ;)

Not at this point, it's just a debug app for mod creators, nothing that will be user facing. Since the whole game is based on SI units, I don't think there is any merit to providing other unit systems in debug apps.

Does this new system make engine to over heat when driving top speed long periods ? How about transmission, is it somehow affected ?
