Alright, go ahead and download it and check the jbeam. I bet it is completely off. Anyone can rip a model from another game and copy-paste some files.
So why are you arguing that these mods are actually well made? Plus, if you don't know how to download a file that's pretty bad
Mate, what I mean is get it to work, its different from normal beamng.drive modding where you have to simply put the .zip file in the game folder. And some can, some cant, depending.
No, I didn't get viruses from that website. Just joking, I did, why did I make this joke up? Its a really bad one.
So you wanna talk about websites being unsafe, but you dont even know how to download? Thats not even a joke. Also, people might overread the small text, download sthg and get a virus, which is the exact opposite of this threads purpose. Something being safe or unsafe has exactly nothing to do with opinions. It is a fact, and you disagreeing won't change it. Please, think before you type.
1. Each mod download website has its own way to download mods from it, I haven't downloaded mods from say an Italian website so I don't know how they download their mods. 2. How the bloody hell does someone overread that small text? 3. I am not opinion biased, I am not disagreeing and I'm searching to find websites that are poor or good.
they uploaded my helljeep remake and the 1994 jeep grand Cherokee remake as a .exe and I ran it on my virtual computer and one had a small little virus.
I have never understood installers, that is those .exe downloads, that always limits information about what is going to happen to your computer, you can't know what other things installers do than just put files on correct place. Drivers used to be zip files, then came fashion of these exe packages, usually zip did work lot better than .exe, but these days you can't find much other than drivers with installers, it is rather annoying. With mods same kind of development has been going on for quite a long time. So called easy is often less easy when problems come and usually problems are prone to happen, I would stay clear of any kind of installers for mods. I would like to stay clear of steam too as it is just one more of same problem, but sadly interesting games don't come much other way these days.
I know, welcome to virus city I guess.... xD Might have to test that on a virtual machine one day... xD
I downloaded a lot of mods from world of mods and most of the time i don't see any of them on the resources and the forums. But i think it's just me not looking hard enough.
A lot of them aren't from the forums. Most of the ones that are real life vehicles aren't from the forums. A good way to tell is to look at the JBeam. If it doesn't fit the actual car, it's probably not from the forums. There's a way to do that in game, but I forget the key you have to press to see it.
I did at one point download things off world of mods. Definitely sketchy and half the mods sucked with jbeams, nothing worked properly.
