I don't know if you know it, but you talk alot about Aussie cars on this forum. Yes, it is a good thing, because at first I didn't really knew alot about Aussie cars. But now I got more aware of them, partly because of you.. I start to actually like most cars from the land of kangaroos and Aboriginals :p Especially the Holdens and the Ford Falcons!

I don't really have any model cars worth mentioning, but I feel it's right to make mention of artist/photographer Michael Paul Smith.

He has a unique ability to meld miniatures and dioramas into real life backgrounds and lighting situations. It's pretty easy to get lost in his work.

Here's some pics of my BMW 2000TII Touring by Minichamps. Really gorgeous car! I also just bought an AUTOart Jaguar XJ-S. I'll update this post with pics when it arrives :) Both are 1 18 scale.

Sorry for the low def pics, I don't have a very good camera (I spent the money on the car :p)

Awesome thread idea, I used to build 1/24 and 1/25 plastic scale models as a kid and teenager, don't really have the time anymore, have alot of "projects" on the go, give me a few mins and ill get some pics up.

    - - - Updated - - -

Here we go, have had many many cars, never wanted a perfect finished, I just enjoyed the experience of building them
.. as you can see many projects lol

The black Skyline that is being worked on is the White Skyline with green wheels further down, never finished it, but the first black pics were taken in 2006!!

I wonder if model kits are exist that aren't like assembling a toy car, it'd be nice to see one thats like structured liek a real car. Assembling the chassis, frame etc. Put on seperate body panels. Like builsing a resin version of a real car with glue instead of welding XD

Yeah. Its called a milling machine, a lathe, ample amounts of material and an ability to draw up the designs :p

More seriously. Best I can think of would be some of the RC scale trail trucks. SCX10 and RC4WD trailfinder come to mind primarily. These of course use a single piece body shell but do have a proper suspension and driveline (the trailfinder is even leaf sprung), you can buy them in self assembly kits too.

My younger bro went into tears when he lost his Hot Wheels Bugatti Veyron. He really loved that thing, and we are still trying to find it. Got is for $2.50 at a supermarket, whereas it is worth $50 according to this:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Hot-Whee...65?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item41947e3fc1

We will find it if we ever leave this house.

Besides hotwheels, all our 1:18 models are somehow broken. We do have a nice blue Lamborghini murcielago though in one piece.
