Limited Vintage used to be the only cars I collected between 2018 and 2020, I had to stop since I lost my job just before the pandemic. I used to post about these in an older thread which has since died completely. Definitely my favourite brand of diecast car, they're quite pricey though. The last pic is circa 2019, I really need to get them all out again and take a newer one. I have included a PDF of my current Limited Vintage collection, if anyone is interested. I'm interested in seeing if anyone else keeps lists of their models though.
Sorry to hear that, about your job's losing. Many unfortunate thing had happend since COVID-19 outbreak. TLV cars are pricey indeed. For example,in China most new TLV cars' price are in the range of CNY120-150.Trucks and buses will be more expensive, from CNY220 to 500.Moreover,some cars' price are even higher because of their particularity such as all of the Ferraris and Lamborghinis,Nissan Skyline Super Silhouette(DR30), Mitsubishi Pajero(because of Chineses' nostalgia emotion. They used to be everywhere 15 years ago and could be seen in traffic frequently here today.)and Toyota Altezza/Lexus IS(same reason with Pajero, but much rarer in Chinese road's traffic today). In Japan the price is almost the same as in China, but a little cheaper while Japanese regard the Pajero and Altezza as somewhat random car they could find everywhere. I have interest in the price of TLV cars in where you live,England. Will them be expensiver because of the freight? --- Post updated --- god is that a supra?Their price are rising high these days. Also it's incredible to see that you have a huge number of Ferrari car collection. That's great!
Prices when new are usually between £24-£30 for a regular TLV, for special releases like the Ferraris and any of the race cars are around £30-£60, and then it's £35-£80 for trucks and buses sometimes depending on the size. Tomicarama buildings are always £80+, I'd imagine the newer smaller sets would be cheaper though. Shipping is usually around £5, but import fees are added on after the fact and have been as high as £80 for me in the past - I haven't bought any recently so I'm not sure how recent events (such as Brexit) might have affected the import fees. Tomica isn't a particularly well known brand in the UK, and they don't sell Limited Vintage here at all (as far as I've seen), so the only options I have are to buy them online. The Japan Booster website is quite good for new releases, and then any older ones I usually look for on eBay. Once I'm back in work, I'll be buying some more TLVs hopefully, I've missed a lot of the newer Ferrari releases.
Picked up this RadioShack BMW M1 1/15 scale RC car yesterday at a local antique store. I have since removed the front black bumper for more realism and my attempts to get it to work right so far haven't gone too well as I can not figure out what is wrong with this thing. Steering works fine, but for it to drive forwards and backwards I have to be pressing down on the rear of the car slightly to get it to move. The only thing I don't like too much about these older RadioShack models is that since the rear of the car has suspension and front doesn't, it causes the car to sit a bit awkwardly imo.
That seems to be much expensiver than in eastern Asia.In China by using 24£(about ¥192),you can get most newer special release such as Abunai Deka series Vol.8(Nissan Gloria Y31 Undercover Vehicle)or things like Pajero, which the price rises high these days. The TLV cars only release officially in Japan and Hong Kong so in mainland China we can only buy them online. We usually use Taobao(online shopping website like eBay)and Xianyu(a secondhand or idle thing trading website).eBay provides its service in China but since I found that a Abunai Deka Vol.8 Nissan Gloria have to cost me nearly ¥600(Freight is not included),It would be better for me to buy cars on Taobao. Moreover the freight of buying things on eBay is also expensive for me because they are usually transnational delivery and have to use aeroplanes. About the freight, when buying things on Taobao, the freight is usually around ¥10.Some merchants may pay the freight for their customers.
One question.Due to inconvenient oversea shopping and shipping factors, some certain specs such as n91 E30 and n77 190E W201 are super rare in mainland China, thus these things can be extremely pricey under those resellers, over CNY 1k or so.Will it be more reachable for you guys with better shipping conditions to get those rarities under reasonable prices?
CN¥1000 is around £120~. So, no, not reasonable in any sense of the word. The E30 and W201 in particular are very expensive on the second-hand market at the moment, and all the sellers online are based in Japan. So far as I have seen, prices are no lower than £140 for either of them, and some are asking £300+ (specifically with the LV-N77 and LV-N91 models). And that isn't including shipping, which is anywhere between 'free' & £30 depending on the seller - I dread to think of the import fees (which are often based on the value of the item - or in other words, a lot.) I'm assuming the prices are because Tomica produced only a few of these models, although the similar Audi 80 isn't nearly as expensive (hence why I own two of them) so really I have no idea.
Wow, didn't know it was real! Not very efficient compared to a 747 Freighter, the nose can't open. So it can't load large plane parts and such. Cool as heck nonetheless!
