1/18 CSM Buick LaCrosse The appearance of the Chinese version of the LaCrosse is different from the foreign version, and it has been redesigned by the Pan Asian Design Center,This is also my father's previous car,The LaCrosse, purchased in 2006, has been in use for 15 years and was only sold in 2021,Now my father has a brand new LaCrosse
Well in my country this is the ONLY original American saloon that's still for sale (Lincoln Zephyr? That's a Chinese domestic market car,not an American original) But to be honest, compared with those real boats from cold war period,LaCrosse really can't be regard as a boat-like car
its crazy how the lacrosse was always looked down on here in america as basically a grandpa car which ultimately lead to its discontinuation, that and sedans falling of the graph compared to suvs, but it seems in china there pretty popular and nice!
happy birthday! --- Post updated --- It seems that people in the US has the stereotype that Buicks are for old people and car rentals.Just like Oldsmobile But in China they do have some cars that youths would like. For example,Verano GS Pro Back to the LaCrosse LaCrosse's main consumer group's age range from 40 to 50 years old.I guess that's might because in China old people don't or can't drive cars(either they don't have driving licence or they are usually go with their children when going out)
The last Buick sedan sold in North America was the Regal, which got axed in 2020. OT: This Montreal Police Dodge Monaco I got a few months ago
wow that looks good! if they sold that in America they would probably be better at trying to reach a younger age group like what they did with the new envista, buick has always tried to get out of the old people stereotypes same thing with olds, olds even got rid of their badge on the aurora to not look like a grandpa car, but ive noticed that, many cars they dont sell here, would do very well, like the buick gl8 minivan in china, the honda elevate in india or the honda stepwgn that would do great here especially for people who dont want big vans but need the room,
Well,GL8 in China is actually has a bad reputation on safety once upon a time. The GL8 is based on the notorious GM U-Body Gen2,but improved a lot so it at least could pass the C-NCAP's 40% and 100% crash test. But when it comes to C-IASI's 25% crash test, the car performs badly just like the original U-Body minivan's crash test in 1997(you know, vancake). It finally got a P grade in the test Buick strengthen the frame at last so it could be safer now But since the GL8 is a luxury minivan that often being used for bussiness reception purpose, many buyers doesn't care about the safety of the car so it still has a good overall reputation here now
Nice, I have that Tomicarama too! It was the first one I bought back in 2019. I haven't managed to buy many other Tomicarama sets since they're hard to get, expensive and often out of stock.
