Easier? Matter of opinion. Lighter and Faster? False. 8 is less intensive than 7, much faster. Better to run games? The prior makes 8 better to run games, except a few older ones which do have genuine compatibility issues, but there are games suffering that issue on 7 too. Back to the old WinRar discussion. Windows have never been able to handle rar files natively, whether its windows 7 or 8 makes no difference to that, you flat out need 3rd party software of which in my experience WinRar has been terrible, if it works, keep it, whatever, but I've had issues with it misinterpreting magic numbers and when altering files it has corrupted the magic number and checksum. 7-zip is free (no ads, no paid version available or anything, just straight up free open source software) with a larger range of supported filetypes.
Well, I'm saying it from my experience but Windows 8 is a lot heavier than 7... The desktop version of windows 8 might be lighter but then you have that homescreen bullshit so... it makes windows 8 too heavy and unusual, at least for me! - - - Updated - - - Some 70's styled pictures wich I made in Photoshop and BeamNG.Drive Got the idea while listening to Hotel California - The Eagles And this one while listening to Pink Floyd while playing BeamNG.Drive
7zip i'd assume is what you use, that is incompatable with rars and winrar does rars zips and a billion other formats and such
